when he says he liked Ryan after his SU career concluded. Maybe it was those 3 wins over Geno coming immediately after a period when the Orange won about 10 games in 5 years. The program nosedived ,yet again , immediately after Nassib (and Marrone) left.
Some myth debunking:
1. Nobody wanted the bum. No, he had to fully rehabilitate his injury before he could work out for teams.
2. He was a total flop as a fourth-round pick. No, he was a DNP, not a flop. No one will ever know how he would have performed in the regular season for the Giants had Eli been injured . It's all conjecture . He was an insurance policy never used.
3. His play in pre-season was so absymal that he was obviously in over his head. Carl Banks : Clueless in NJ ; happy feet and all of that. Well , offensive and QB guru ( Romo) Payton is quoted as saying that when he watched his pre-season film, it was obvious Nassib knew where he was supposed to go with the ball. That is only Quality A-1, fucking 1, to judging a quarterback.
Not sure what the future holds for a Ryan. I do know he has a better arm than Daniel. Like everyone else who presumes the continued health of ancient warriors , the Saints are a play from finding out .

Too bad he wasn't signed by Saints until after compensation expiration date, but I wasn't surprised.
Don't know how he hurt himself last year, but his upside had dissipated. He was all done with us and useless with regard to any potential return after that happened.
Josh Johnson had one of the most incredible statistical season's i've ever seen with 40 td's and 2 int's in college. I know the chances are zero but it would be great if he had a Rich Gannon type late career breakout. With that said I still think Geno Smith wins the #2 job.
This is one of those defense offenses when one wasn't needed.
I saw something like this once when a labor union was protesting a grocery store, but the store had closed a few weeks earlier.
Only when he was a rookie, I believe. That's true almost any time anyone drafts a QB.
No hate for Ryan, I truly wish him the best. What confounds me is the undying belief by many here that he was some kind to f star in waiting who never got his fair chance. I'm not criticizing Ryan, I'm critical of those who still carry a torch for him.

This!
If you're going to continue to let HJ45 tailpipe your car you may want to get out first. The effects of the carbon monoxide are pretty evident.
Beyond stupid thread. No surprise.
Plus, I think you have the BBI Narrative all wrong. I seem to remember BBI wanting Nassib over Eli during Macs first year as O coordinator. Then you had the clowns that thought NFL teams were going to trade us a high draft pick for Nassib.
I still don't think it was a bad idea to trade for Nassib. We hadn't signed Eli at the time, and he was in his 30s. There was also no guarantee he would stay healthy. It was also only a four and a six to get Nassib, and Reese was at that time wasting just about every third day pick anyway.
I also still think Nassib is still a bit of an unknown. He had a pretty serious elbow injury last year that required surgery. He might still develop into a decent backup. If not, he has a degree from a good university in Accounting and Finance, and was at least on an NFL roster for a few years.
I wish him the best.
Two draft choices were thrown away his choice.

If it was just because of TC, why didn't Tom give him at least a workout in Jacksonville?
Why did the Giants still waste a roster spot on him last season, after TC was gone?
He's got a rocket arm (or had so before his injury)....but seemed to have a problem maintaining composure in the pocket at times.
Would love to see him make the Saints and actually get to play in some games....just to see who this guy really was.
