and Johnson both will have to make the team or they will be lost trying to get to the practice squad.
Wheeler should definitely make the team assuming he stays healthy and keeps out of trouble off the field. Dunker and possibly Jarron Jones should make the practice squad.
Okay. Wheeler is a stud despite his severe lack of strength.
Can't there be a middle ground between "stud" and worthy of making the team? Oh wait, of course not? It's Hall of Fame or bust! If you think he should make the team, you're certainly suggesting Canton is the next stop!
Just 2 years ago, Bucky Brooks and PFF rated the total talent on the NYG roster as bottom tiered. Now? This might be one of the 5-7 most complete rosters in the sport. The proof is apparent in the fierce competition anticipated this summer in camp to fill out the roster.
Thought Wheeler or Johnson were good they would have been drafted.
Great point. UDFA's never turn out to be good players except for Burfict, Kurt Warner, Tony Romo, Damon Harrison, Victor Cruz, Rich Seubert, Priest Holmes, Jimmy Smith, Antonio Pierce, etc.
there is getting stronger and only doing 15 reps at the combine.
There is a reason why players don't get drafted. Lack of talent wasn't the reason Wheeler or Jarron Jones went undrafted. Are they gong to be NFL starters? Chances aren't great but the talent is there. Jones will not make the team due to the position switch but if he does make the practice squad that will be a very good sign for a player so raw.

It isn't always that easy. Giants just happened to be coming off two-three straight rebuilding seasons where they didn't spend much long term money and picked high in the draft for three straight years. Then they nailed the 2016 off-season to near perfection and look to have had another good one this year. This didn't happen by accident although I get your point. This certainly isn't the 80s anymore.

You can say that about every UDFA that has made an NFL squad
And you are so very wrong
Because the NFL always gets the draft right?
People say this every year about players and the vast majority of the time they make it through to the Giant PS just fine.
Every team in the NFL has players of this general caliber that "impress" this way.

This place bring some real winners.
And then in training camp, we'll have to wait until the real games start when they aren't going up against backups....

Wow a rookie offensive linemen who needs to get stronger. That only applies to 99% of the rookie offensive line class.

Agree 100%. Hope they sort themselves out in camp. What we a front office and coaches for.
Not sure if you mean to come off as douchy as you do. Maybe it's just how you come off on-line?
More likely that UDFA cuts will join the practice squads of other teams.
It will be like the post-draft frenzy all over again.
Dr. Denton's?
