Did anyone watch or been watching the series? I must admit as a non-book reader, I have had my ups and downs with the show. IMO it tends to have moments of greatness sprinkled here or there-just enough to make you put up with the fact that the pace is too slow and you are constantly trying to figure out what’s going on.
I was done last week after episode 7. Way too divergent for what should have been the climax or the set up for the climax. They have had too many episodes that seem to go off course and serve only to drag the main story-which is hard enough to follow as is-to a halt. But then I watched the finale last night and the last 20 minutes was top notch TV. Really controversial and mind blowing stuff. Did anyone like the finale?
Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday is just inspired casting, as is the guy they got for Mr. Nancy.
I figure this season covered a little less than half of the main book. Lots more to come.
Last episode but very good. Maybe some of the back stories of the other dieties will make sense eventually but how much?
McShane is the best. No shock. Pablo Schrieber as well but that whole back story of how he came to America? Why. The Djinn taxi driver? Why?
Some of it just makes no sense to the broader story IMO?
