NFT: Help on Trip to Greece

Samiam : 6/19/2017 2:54 pm
My son and his new wife are going on their honeymoon in 2 weeks to Greece. They're flying to Athens for 1 day, Paros (4 days), Mykonos (4 days), and Santorini (5 days). They have not done much travel abroad before and could use some help. I don't know much about Greece especially the islands.

They are looking for looking for can’t miss restaurants, activities, beaches, other things to do.

They currently have a half-day tour booked in Athens, but nothing else planned. He's calling the Tourist Board; we'd appreciate any help from BBIers. Thanks in advance.
tripadvisor was super useful

Mykonos is more for younger party frat crowd. Go to thira? fira? THE VIEW in town OIA (either tip of the crescent shape island sun rise and sun set)! Main city for street shopping. best restaurants are the ones with NO view (locals eat there) don't look like a place out of a magazine. Do the caldera excursions with the boats. Foot massage eating fish gimmicks. Soooooooo much to do. I miss Santorini. :(
Hike along the caldera (Santorini)

a sunset sail is an absolute must. Go on a smaller boat, more intimate. Also eat at Ammoudi Bay for a cool, on the water dining experience.
I still enjoyed Mykonos

was completely relaxing and the hotel we stayed at was amazing. Didn't go out to party at all and still enjoyed it.
