NFT: US Navy shot down a Syrian

section125 : 6/19/2017 6:16 pm
SU-22 jet dropping bombs on US Coalition forces, yestrday. Russia was warned and asked to warn Syria to call off bombing. They did not. F-18 was ordered to take down the SU-22 and did so.

Russia now threatening "Coalition" planes will be shot down. Russia also said it would shut off the comms with the US. They have not done so, yet. They threatened after the cruise missile attack and did not then either.

My take, tough shit Russia/Syria.
Another useless US

Ahh, Syria did the bombing...

But I'm with you. We should pack up the toys, head home and leave the rest of the world to its own demise.

Talking about the bombing of the airfield where Syria was forewarned by Russia. But hey, Putin's a friend...so you know.

Yeah Putin's a friend...but you are unusually incoherent tonight. What does today/yesterday have to do with April besides it happened in Syria?
It's all pretty intertwined, no?

Russia has a vested interest in Syria and Assad remaining in power. The US is under some political pressure to remove Assad despite a seemingly cozy relationship with Russia that is being seeded by the current administration. My point is, will there be a token action taken at some time again? Or are we good now and we'll move on to the next headline grabber?
Brinksmanship

Moves that are individually defensible but that increase the likelihood that some sort of mistake or miscalculation will lead to a violent confrontation with Russia. That region right now is terrifying. There are no easy answers.
