Former Jets LB David Harris has reached agreement on a two-year deal with...the New England Patriots, source tells ESPN
would have loved him in Blue, but for the first time in a while it seems like we've got a decent rotation and players ready to step into prominent roles that actually seem promising.
He's long been my favorite on that Jet's D, freakin Pats.
You're right about one thing; if the Pats spent any time on this site they wouldn't enjoy the success they have. With your indepth knowledge I'm sure Reese would hire you on the spot

but you have to wonder how much of a choice he had in the matter. Part of me doubts the team was going to pay him much more than that if he took issue with it.
RE: It's certainly a hell of a discount over his open-market value

Probably not. There's always someone else to do the job.
Because they dont resign anyone to absurd contracts and they trade them before they're contract is up for draft picks.
Brady's also played at below market rate for a while. He's at $13 million cap hit for this year I think, and pretty sure he's about the 12th or so highest paid QB in the league

Then who the hell was that who signed Richard Seymour to a monster contract? Who was paying the DB Revis a QB salary for several year? Who is paying Stephon Gilmore a contract similar to the Giants Jenkins? Who just gave one of their own resticted free agents a $4M one-year contract? Link - ( New Window )

otherwise they'd know he is too old. Pass.

How they always have cap space

Yup.
That is an incredible deal for such a good player.
That type of hometown discount certainly helps perpetuate that cap space.
