Looks like they went for a Sopranos ending, what do you think happened at the end - did Varga's mystery man show up?
Took me a minute to figure out who texted Varga at the storage facility, they were setting it up to look like it might have been Burgle but clearly it was Swango who wanted Varga to come down the elevator to her kill setup.

no the man never showed up. He saId the man would be there in 5 minutes, Hence the focus on the clock. Showing hours gone by without anyone showing up

I rewatched the clock and it was only the second hand moving
First half was great with the cat and mouse chase between Varga and Swango but things kinda went off the rails after that.
Why did Wrench wait five years to kill Emmit?
Why did Emmits car start working after it clearly broke down?
Bold move with the ambiguous ending.
I agree with everything and have the same questions. Best I can come up with regarding Wrench and Emmit is that he wanted to let him get his life back in order and then take it from him. There also had Wrench's picture from the security cameras in the elevator, so maybe he was laying low for awhile, although that is a really long time.
The car thing really bugged me. That's a pretty big hole for a show that's known for solid writing and storytelling.
Wasn't a fan of the ambiguous ending. I don't dislike that kinda thing as a rule, it just didn't seem to fit.
I thought the last 3 episodes made up for what was easily
the weakest season of the series. I'm okay with the uncertain ending.
Outside of Patrick Wilson's Lou Solverson, the best characters on the show during the 3 seasons were women. Mary Elizabeth Winstead was terrific. I wish Nikki Swango would've rode off into the sunset as opposed to killing a cop and getting killed.
Bringing back Mr. Wrench from season 1 was a great move.
And wished that we got a firm answer on the fate of Varga. I'm assuming he gets out.
The showdown on the highway scene with Niki, Emmett, and the trooper was odd to me. Emmett's truck breaks down. The trooper doesn't see Nikki holding the shotgun as he approaches. Doesn't see it on the back fender when he drives by. And when it's all over, Emmett's car miraculously starts again and he drives off.
watching that seen and my college age daughter is watching only that scene as she does not follow the series and my daughter indicates that Niki is wearing $1300 boots. lol wonder if she took that cash just to buy those boots or already had them on in the building shootout.
He told her a couple of lines to say and she would remember when the time came. Well the time came on the road and she spoke the words to Emmitt right before the cop arrived.
So what was that all about? What did it all mean? This ending left loose ends...
To brilliant. Don't get too involved with plot or you'll miss the forest for the trees. The whole mood of it to me was the randomness of existence, the meaning, or lack of, of life. Kinna hard to pull off that kind of ambitious goal, but it came pretty close.
or a line earlier in the season where she let it be known that she knew how to handle it, the only thing that bugged me this season was Swango just hopping in a big rig and driving right off without a single sound of the clutch shitting itself.

but it wasn't as gripping as the previous 2.

As for the car, I believe if you go rewatch it, only the warning light comes on. So I believe the car can still be moving.

I'm bailing from Fargo now.
