Anak's Schiavo thread years ago? I can't remember the exact details, but he posted something about seeing someone in Terri Schiavo's family in manhattan. I wish I could remember the exact details. It was very strange.
That was the thread where Anak drew comparisons as being a Courtney Cox lookalike from the 'Dancing in the Dark' video
Ha that thread was great. Half of BBI was calling bullshit on his story because the store he claimed he was at was closed at that time, then I think someone on BBI found out that Eli actually did make an appearance at that store at that time, and if I remember correctly even found photos from the event. That was a great thread.
That's a lot of walking for a old man ... is it hot out there? Maybe he knows you are following him and he is trying to shake you? You might kill him (from exhaustion).
Try not to rile him up into a brisk pace/light jog ... a girl got convicted last week for texts that encouraged a suicide. Be careful.
Just got back. It wasn't 20 blocks. It was 12. Felt like 20 though! Â
My phone died so I couldn't take any pictures with him but I did make a Snapchat story of me following him (which Brett can see as he's the only BBIer I have on Snapchat. I even called Brett out in my story.)
What had happened was I got out of the subway station on 72nd and 2nd and was walking north when Accorsi passed me, talking on his phone. I stopped for like 5 seconds and thought to myself, "should I say hi? Is it worth it? Fuck it, I'll go for it" so I turned around and started trailing him and waited for him to get off the phone. He must've seen me like 4-5 times as of course there are red lights and shit, so I stood next to him a few times. He might've suspected something but I don't know.
Anyway, on 61st and 3rd he stopped in the middle of the street (still on the phone, mind you) and I was still trailing him so I walked by him and turned the corner. Waited for 2 minutes to check if he was still there and I walked back. He wasn't on the street anymore so I looked through the windows of the stores and saw that he had gone into some soup and salad place (and was finally off the phone). I went in and approached him (quite nervously) and said, "Hi Mr. Accorsi. It's such a pleasure meeting you. I'm a huge Giants fan. Just wanted to thank you for Eli and everything. I also love The GM. It's one of my favorite books." He thanked me, asked me my name and said he really appreciated it.

Nice. Using your approach to asking out women to go after The Rug ;-)
I didn't want to be a dick and interrupt him while he was on the Â
phone. I mean when I become Giants GM, I don't want my predecessor to say, "That funny-looking asshole with the backwards Rangers hat interrupted me. How could Mr. Mara and Mr. Tisch hire him to run a football team?"
So I followed him. Went quite out of my way because of my fucking manners.

You do realize that following someone for that long is pretty rude to begin with, right?

Pheeew ... kinda anti-climatic that nobody died but, I am really glad no one was hurt.
if he doesn't know it, and you really have no idea whether or not he knows someone has been following him for 20 blocks. Why can't people just go about their business and not follow people around? It's disturbing what people will do to meet or talk to even somewhat of a celebrity
anyone who is an adult should be embarrassed to follow someone for 20 blocks and then they lose track of him so they go looking in stores to see where he was.
I'm an Anak fan, but this stuff is just fricking weird for adults to do.
I guess stalking, peeping, etc. would all fall under the same umbrealla as a "victimless crime" unless you get caught?
That's a bit different, isn't it? My intent is not quite the same as a stalker or a peeper...
Actually it isn't. There is a saying that character is doing the right thing when nobody is looking. Assessing the appropriateness of your actions through the lense of "it's ok if they don't know" seems a little...off to me.

But that's just me.
You don't see the difference in wanting to talk to someone but not disturbing him vs. Invading someone's privacy? If I followed him into his aparen't building or interrupted his phone call, you may have a point.
Did you mention to him that you had been following him for 12 (or 20) blocks, and doubled back after he went into the restaurant, waiting for him to get off the phone?
I'm guessing you didn't, although it sure would have shown him how polite you are! Yep, that would not have seemed creepy and weird at all!

That's subjective. Doesn't mean I did anything wrong. I don't regret it and I enjoyed talking to someone who I aspire to be career-wise.
I see why some would say it's weird or creepy though.

No need to defend yourself dude. There are guys I would have followed for 20 blocks to say hello.
....He thanked me, asked me my name and said he really appreciated it....
What kind of psychopath chases a 75 year old man for 20 blocks to thank him.
At least he didn't kick your ass for stalking him, that would have been only slightly more embarrassing.
A massive Giants fan. And don't throw around labels.
I guess that's why fan is short for fanatic.
I can throw around labels like psychopath all I want as you over-share weird shit you do.
I believe your actions qualify IMO. As in a f-ing weird dude, like someone on an airplane who would pick the middle seat by choice with the window and/or aisle empty. I believe your actions today qualify you as a psychopath IMO.

speaks to larger issues. Is the man of sixty who has raised a family weird when he spends one hundred dollars to buy a five dollar shirt with a kid's name on it.?
This whole thing is mad. I think the sixty year old man who has held a job and raised a kid is more admirable than the 20 year old kid who had never really worked and doesn't know jack shit.
From a world turned upside down..."when grass eat cows".
lmao! This thread is gold.
No, I don't know who he is, but he's scaring the hell out me.
He's been following me for, like, 20 blocks!
Go rip the toupée off 'nak
Got back a "howya doin"
well done

OK OK, Michael Jackson never came over to use the bathroom. But his sister did!

How did you embed that? I have tried to figure it our so many times. Could you add it to the BBCode at the bottom.
Thanks!

I don't know, it sounds like Anak has all the makings of a good ambulance chaser to me.
Or at the very least, a good process server.
Don't be rude. I didn't do anything wrong. It was a nice encounter.

Nobody there but one tiny, tiny old lady at our table.
Interesting person, staring out the window...lost in thought.
Wait, the tats, that face, ....its Iggy Pop.
Did we follow him for 20 blocks? No. Did we get snaps for the boy to show off? Nah.
Mr. Pop was in no mood.
