GM Cut - ( New Window )
This move was the beginning of the end of the Reid era in Philadelphia

Will it end differently in KC?

A lot of it depends on If Mahomes pans out. I don't think they're going to win anything with Smith.
Was Mahones a source of disagreement between the two?

I have no idea, just curious. Hard to believe a trade up like that would've been made if the two were in disagreement over him, but also understandable that one of them surely had to go if they were the case (and the owner sided with the head coach over the general manager, thus emasculating the GM and making his departure inevitable).

I would think the Maclin cut was the breaking point. From all indications is that Reid wasn't on board with the cut and has a strong personal connection with Maclin. Maclin had even said he was notified via voicemail.

Mahomes in 2018 is my guess.

Alex can move on to OC #9 by then.

live on for years doing dogsh***, I find stories like this to be mind blowing.

Dorsey by all accounts seemed well regarded, and KC has been improving it's roster slowly but surely since he got there.
