but the real problem is lack of length from the starters. I dont care who is in the pen, when you go to the pen in the 5th and 6th inning every night you are in trouble. And Girardi makes it worse by pulling guys early who are pitching decently like when he yanked Pineda with 2 outs and a man on first in the 6th and then Montgomery the next night. And then he doesn't let Shreve ptich the 7t after pitching to just 1 batter in the 6th.

He got off to a slow start in Trenton too. His May/June numbers were ridiculous before his promo.

I believe he's also on the 40 man.
