NFT: Help for a Terminal Friend

Hey there BBI...

I'm turning to BBI with some help for a dear friend that just got diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I think he may have 4 - 6 mos. Truly heart breaking and awful. only 45 years old.

He is a diehard Bears fan, but he did accompany me from DC to the Giants vs. Atlanta playoff game in 2011 so he earned some blue strips. I want to reach out to the Bears organization about seeing if they could do something for him during their training camp if I can get him out there. I've seen over the years that Pat Hanlon has been good to so many of you in that capacity. Would any of you have any ideas on how to go about it? would reaching out to Pat to see if he has any contacts in the Bears?

I just found out about this earlier this week and I just want to try to do something big for him while he's still able to.

What exactly do you want to do? Meet players? Stand on side lines?

You can always call the organization directly and ask for the Community Relations Director. I took a look at their website and hope this helps. Seems like Brandon Faber is Pat's equivalent:

Pancreatic Cancer is awful, and usually it's not detected until it's at Stage 4 and too late. My mother in law had it and enjoy each day you have with him because sadly things deteriorate quickly. My prayers go out to him and his family. There are good suggestions here in how to reach out to the Bears.

My sister in law reciently diagnosed is taking kimo therapy to hopefully shrink tumor to get to surgery
Please in addition to traditional treatment
Please watch the seven episodes of the Sacred Plant

I really appreciate the the kind words and positive vibes. All the suggestions for treatment and getting in touch with the Bears have been very helpful. Please keep them coming if you're reading this new today.
