Can't wait til he gets here. Yankees' everyday lineup next season will likely include Judge, Sanchez, Bird, Torres and Frazier. That's gonna be a lot of fun to watch every night.
Lost me at The Braves don't have a star offensive player in their system. I guess Ronald Acuna and Kevin Maitan, the best IFA since Miguel Cabrera, don't count.
And I'm sure Braves fans feel the same about theirs. We watch our own and grow attached to them. We don't follow other teams prospects like we do our own. But I will say, what I love about the Yankees system is not only the near MLB ready guys, but the incredible depth. Guys like Fowler and Wade go basically unnoticed and they'd be easier top 5 or 10 prospects in a lot of systems. Then you get down to the lower levels and it's insanely deep.
They look to be loaded with top prospects. Their top five of Moncado, Kopech, Robert, Giolito, and Lopez all crack the top 40 in the MLB 2017 Prospects Watch. from MLB.com - ( New Window )

The White Sox have a lot of very good prospects but nowhere near the depth that the Yankees or the Braves do.
Beards. Awesome. Congrats? Glad you get excited about the "manly stuff". Maybe if guys like Jeter and Arod could grow beards they'd get laid once in awhile. Masculinity baby!

He seemed to be very close to joining the team before the injury. I wish him a speedy recovery, hopefully we will see him next year at 3B.
Sox have 3 SP prospects that could be huge. With Lopez being the worst. They have the best 3b prospect in Moncada. Plus they have another P prospect in Carson Fullmer and an OF Luis Robert who could be very good.
Yanks have next with several top prospects that could be all stars in Torres, Rutherford, Fraiser. Sheffield. I think that Fowler will be a solid player but might be shipped to another team in a deal. If Kap can finally get healthy he could be a nice SP.
The Braves have a lot of young talent but not sure what they will become. There is no guy in their minors that I can say he could be a stud. Albies could be the next top 2b prospect but they need to bring him up he is ready. But that would require them to trade Phillips.

You obviously don't follow the Braves system closely. They have the youngest position player in AA in Ronald Acuna who is playing great. Kevin Maitan has superstar upside. Christian Pache hasn't show much power yet but he is a potential star as well. At pitcher Kolby Allard, Mike Soroka, Sean Newcomb, Ian Anderson, Luiz Gohara, Kyle Wright, Joey Wentz, and Touki Toussaint all have front of the rotation upside while others will argue that Lucas Sims, Patrick Weigel, Kyle Muller, and Freddie Tarnok do as well.
but some of their kids have either regressed or failed to continue their development as advertised.
It's a crapshoot but you can't go wrong with either.
A couple of players regressed but the majority have taken a step forward. P Lucas Sims, P Patrick Weigel, P Luiz Gohara, C/OF Alex Jackson, C Brett Cumberland, C Lucas Herbert, P Tyler Pike, P Joey Wentz, 3B Travis Demeritte, CF Ronald Acuna, CF Christian Pache, P Mike Soroka, P Kolby Allard have all progressed.

Agreed I feel the same way about the Braves system. Due to their lack of talent in the majors I have been following the prospects very closely over the past three years more so than the big league club.
Congratulations on Swanson finally getting over the mendoza line. Progress?
If you're gonna go this route, shouldn't he come back and make fun of Greg Bird and his atrocious season??
Or Judge. Or Sanchez. Or Montgomery. Or Severino.
Oh by the way, Bird wasn't anywhere close to being considered the top prospect in all of baseball. He wasn't even really on the radar with anyone other than Yankees fans. Not even a top 100 guy on most boards. But youre comparing him to Swanson now? Lololololol. Way to make yourself look like a fool. So a non prospect has been injured. Way to prove a point!

Funny you mentioned Severino. Severino had a good first year with the Yankees and then struggled mightily in his second season. Swanson had a very bad start to the year with some terrible luck with a very low BABIP. He has been excellent over the past month and a half and appears to be back on track.

Kevin Maitan makes his professional debut today in the GCL. The recently turned 17 year old will be starting at SS along with top international catcher prospect Abrahan Gutierrez.
