Hello all! Wife, my self and a couple of friends were looking to stay for a long weekend In early October. We've never been there so was going to ask the collective BBI community for advice (gulp!).(And yes I've tried that new-fangled "Google" website). In all seriousness I have gotten really great recommendations for New Orleans and Key West from BBI in the past so hoping this works out well. Positive comments encouraged, he'll so are negative ones, just be funny ;). Thanks to all and fire away !
As for food, but up Pancake Pantry by Candy. Delicious.
Have fun. I love that city. Up there with Austin for me as my favorite destinations stateside.
Go to Hattie's B hot chicken
Downtown Nashville has this oppressive architectural style that I was not a big fan of, but if you are only staying for a few days, that is still the place to be. Broadway and the honkey tonks are a lot of fun.
Really enjoyed Monell's and I second Hattie b's.
If you have more time, explore the suburbs, which have been undergoing a renaissance and are driving a lot of the hype around Nashville these days.
If u have vehicle and don't mind the (80 mile drive) - bluegrass underground is something you probably won't see anywhere else.
You can have a good time in Nashville just walking around Downtown and exploring.
If you're a hockey fan - too bad you didn't come here a few weeks ago.
