Players, including ones that played with him, not really respecting Eli isn't exactly news at this point though, even if some fans still care too much about it.
I read that Eli didn't like him and was one of the reasons no extreme effort was made to hold on to him.
So Bennett's views might be prejudiced. He also might mean that Cutler had a better arm...it's tough to ignore intangibles in these arguments...leadership, clutch etc.
To not give someone their due respect is bad enough, but to disrespect someone who doesn't deserve it is horrible. Tiki, Martellus, etc.. can all eat their hearts out because Eli has it all over them. He will be held in high regard for ages while these turds are all long forgotten.
He is just dumb. Let's see 2time MVP Super Bowl player. Never lost a super bowl game to Brady. How many can say that? Go on you can say it. Go ahead you will feel better Bennet. Go ahead. That's right Only Eli Manning. Oh and who is a starting QB in the NFL? Cutler? No? Once again Bennet. You can say it. You know the answer. Ya know what Bennet you're a dumb ass too!
Very good player, but obviously not a good judge of QB talent if he has Cutler ahead of not only Eli but Romo.
Two guys who ran circles around Cutler on the field, and yet somehow managed to end up behind him on his list. Don't go asking him for any advice on your fantasy roster.
Eli was better than Romo but Cutler was better than Eli but Brady was better than Cutler and in a few months we will hear Rodgers is better than Brady. Did I miss anything?
I always liked watching Cutler play

Because no matter how the majority of people view a player, you'll always have a contrarian view. It also reinforces that no matter how much football people watch, some will never really get what they are looking at.
no moreso when I see it on BBI. The dissenting opinion, as long as it is brought with genuineness, makes it worth while logging on and reading thru a thread.
Otherwise, change your handle to lemming and wait in line to tell me how great the Giants are versus the 31 other lousy teams...
Wouldn't surprise me if the media took something Bennett said out of context and ran with it. There's really no arguing that Cutler has a better arm/physical tools than Eli even if he completely lacks what it takes between the ears to be a successful NFL quarterback. If he had Eli's level of dedication and ability to lead under pressure he'd probably look as smooth as Aaron Rodgers with a slightly better arm and a little less mobility.
He has a huge arm, but his shitty mechanics have always kept him from reaching his significant potential. He's a lot like Kerry Collins and Michael Vick (and Davis Webb) mechanically.
I do wonder if this is without context - Bennett has been pretty complimentary of Eli and the Giants in his career. He also absolutely trashed Cutler the other month and said he was the "worst QB in the league." Maybe he's trying to make amends?
Obviously Eli is the better QB. Not even looking at the postseason:
He was giving his own personal rankings - so it makes sense that he had Cutler, who he had his best seasons as a professional with, ranked high on his list.
He also had Aaron Rodgers higher than Tom Brady, and he hasn't even played a game with him yet. Obviously, like with most things said by the Bennett, this shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Except he's trashed Cutler hard before.
That's the only reason this should get any attention: how does Cutler go from being a horrible leader and the worst QB in football to suddenly better than Romo and Eli? Even if he doesn't have much respect for either of them like a lot of players seem to not, it makes no sense, even in Black Unicorn land.
You give guys like M. Bennett a vote...

LOL! Best response on this thread.
Which two teams didn't pay him? Giants and Cowboys

Obviously Eli is the better QB. Not even looking at the postseason:
Number of Seasons:
Eli: 13
Cutler: 11
Number of 20 TD Seasons:
Eli: 11
Cutler: 6
Number of 4,000 Yard Seasons:
Eli: 6
Cutler: 1
it's a team sport
Jeff George had one of the best arms in the history of the NFL. He must have had an awesome career.
