Black Unicorn.

Here is another

joke, Bennett is better than Gronk. Too funny
He got a ring
GeorgeAdams33 : 6/24/2017 6:43 pm : link
and he's STILL butthurt
This is a good example of how the NFLN
Jimmy Googs : 6/24/2017 6:47 pm : link
list of top 100 players each year gets put together.

You give guys like M. Bennett a vote...
He talked a fair amount of shit about Cutler before, so that's odd.
Devon : 6/24/2017 7:02 pm : link
Players, including ones that played with him, not really respecting Eli isn't exactly news at this point though, even if some fans still care too much about it.
He doessn't rap Eli directly....
grizz299 : 6/24/2017 7:08 pm : link
I read that Eli didn't like him and was one of the reasons no extreme effort was made to hold on to him.
So Bennett's views might be prejudiced. He also might mean that Cutler had a better arm...it's tough to ignore intangibles in these arguments...leadership, clutch etc.
Respect Eli
GeorgeAdams33 : 6/24/2017 7:11 pm : link
To not give someone their due respect is bad enough, but to disrespect someone who doesn't deserve it is horrible. Tiki, Martellus, etc.. can all eat their hearts out because Eli has it all over them. He will be held in high regard for ages while these turds are all long forgotten.
He's a clown
UConn4523 : 6/24/2017 7:12 pm : link
and wouldn't want him here even if we didn't draft Engram. Old, broken down, and a history of clowning around and not working hard.
Bless his heart
pganut : 6/24/2017 7:14 pm : link
One too many hits to the head.
Since when has Bennett not worked hard?
Devon : 6/24/2017 7:20 pm : link
He's a weird guy, but from the time he was here to now, there's not been much to suggest he doesn't put in the time for his craft.
I always liked watching Cutler play

He can
Not many can throw like him?

3 winning seasons in 11 years?
Nobody would deny Cutler has a good arm.
Giant John : 6/24/2017 9:53 pm : link
He is just dumb. Let's see 2time MVP Super Bowl player. Never lost a super bowl game to Brady. How many can say that? Go on you can say it. Go ahead you will feel better Bennet. Go ahead. That's right Only Eli Manning. Oh and who is a starting QB in the NFL? Cutler? No? Once again Bennet. You can say it. You know the answer. Ya know what Bennet you're a dumb ass too!
Obviously the measure of a QB
mattlawson : 6/24/2017 10:27 pm : link
Varies greatly.
He's not exactly a rocket scientist
jcn56 : 6/24/2017 11:18 pm : link
Very good player, but obviously not a good judge of QB talent if he has Cutler ahead of not only Eli but Romo.

Two guys who ran circles around Cutler on the field, and yet somehow managed to end up behind him on his list. Don't go asking him for any advice on your fantasy roster.
...
est1986 : 6/24/2017 11:27 pm : link
Eli was better than Romo but Cutler was better than Eli but Brady was better than Cutler and in a few months we will hear Rodgers is better than Brady. Did I miss anything?

LOL! Best response on this thread.
Doomster his record speaks for itself
joeinpa : 6/25/2017 8:11 am : link
My point was his arm strength and the way he could spin it.
So Martellus
McNally's_Nuts : 6/25/2017 11:31 am : link
Puts Eli and Romo last.

Which two teams didn't pay him? Giants and Cowboys
puzzling since he's always had veiled insults
SHO'NUFF : 6/25/2017 5:47 pm : link
about Cutler and praised Eli.
This is why debates..

Because no matter how the majority of people view a player, you'll always have a contrarian view. It also reinforces that no matter how much football people watch, some will never really get what they are looking at.
I enjoy hearing or reading the minority view and
Jimmy Googs : 6/25/2017 9:28 pm : link
no moreso when I see it on BBI. The dissenting opinion, as long as it is brought with genuineness, makes it worth while logging on and reading thru a thread.

Otherwise, change your handle to lemming and wait in line to tell me how great the Giants are versus the 31 other lousy teams...

Context?
HugeS : 6/25/2017 10:43 pm : link
Wouldn't surprise me if the media took something Bennett said out of context and ran with it. There's really no arguing that Cutler has a better arm/physical tools than Eli even if he completely lacks what it takes between the ears to be a successful NFL quarterback. If he had Eli's level of dedication and ability to lead under pressure he'd probably look as smooth as Aaron Rodgers with a slightly better arm and a little less mobility.
Michael Bennet is better
Phil in LA : 6/25/2017 11:17 pm : link
then Martellus Bennet. His family, and everyone in the wold, knows that.
I'd say Cutler is actually a pretty flawed thrower of the ball
Go Terps : 6/25/2017 11:27 pm : link
He has a huge arm, but his shitty mechanics have always kept him from reaching his significant potential. He's a lot like Kerry Collins and Michael Vick (and Davis Webb) mechanically.

I feel
crick n NC : 6/26/2017 9:36 am : link
And have felt Cutler isn't particularly a tough qb, mentally or physically. That in my opinion has put a significant stunt on his growth as a qb.
Crick n North Carolina
HugeS : 6/26/2017 10:26 am : link
That's spot on. And that mental and physical toughness happens to be where Eli really stands out as NFL elite.
Weird
kash94 : 6/26/2017 12:57 pm : link
I do wonder if this is without context - Bennett has been pretty complimentary of Eli and the Giants in his career. He also absolutely trashed Cutler the other month and said he was the "worst QB in the league." Maybe he's trying to make amends?

Obviously Eli is the better QB. Not even looking at the postseason:

Number of Seasons:
Eli: 13
Cutler: 11

Number of 20 TD Seasons:
Eli: 11
Cutler: 6

Number of 4,000 Yard Seasons:
Eli: 6
Cutler: 1

Jeff George had one of the best arms in the history of the NFL. He must have had an awesome career.

Wasn't he on record for espn
TurdFurguson : 6/26/2017 4:27 pm : link
As saying Cutler was the worst QB he's ever played with?
Awesome!

the giants 3rd round pick has drawn some Cutler comparisons ...

He was giving his own personal rankings - so it makes sense that he had Cutler, who he had his best seasons as a professional with, ranked high on his list.

He also had Aaron Rodgers higher than Tom Brady, and he hasn't even played a game with him yet. Obviously, like with most things said by the Bennett, this shouldn't be taken too seriously.
Cutler
Torn Tendon : 6/26/2017 7:03 pm : link
Always reminded me of Jeff George. Both would get mad in games and start playing bad.

Except he's trashed Cutler hard before.

That's the only reason this should get any attention: how does Cutler go from being a horrible leader and the worst QB in football to suddenly better than Romo and Eli? Even if he doesn't have much respect for either of them like a lot of players seem to not, it makes no sense, even in Black Unicorn land.
Webb is the next Cutler?
SHO'NUFF : 6/26/2017 10:41 pm : link
Webb has way more football smarts and dedication than Cutler, plus nearly as good an arm. I would be very shocked to see Webb play like Cutler.
