You could also do some zip lining out there.
I went a long time ago

and did the upper Gauley and the Youghiogheny, very challenging for a first-timer.

During the trip there was a local fair/carnival in Ohiopyle which was not far away in PA (or some town like that) and they had a demolition derby.

It was one of the best things I've seen in my life.

Not sure when it is, but i'd look it up.

Best whitewater rafting I ever experienced.....

You will have a good time... Although with not much rain forecast the river might be low. We went last year right after the devastating floods. River was right below the limit they will run. Tons of waves... Technical stuff was under water.

We camped and hiked in the area.
I've done the New, the Cheat

And I did the upper Gauley river during the Fall damn release. That trip seriously almost killed me and I was an experienced rafter. The put in itself was a class four rapid. The rest of the river had a number of class fives. It's not for the faint of heart. Also going during the summer pretty much means you are going to do a lot of paddling.
I also did

I still have a video of the Youghigany (on VHS, LOL). SO many rafts dumped it on the Youghigany on our trip.

Main difference for us (not sure if it's changed) is the Golly we had a guide in the raft. On the Youghigany we were on our own, but had guides in kayaks on the side of us providing instruction.

the kayaking down the rapids of the Youghigany looked a lot of fun too.
Sounds like fun...

My whitewater rafting experience has been in the west primarily. I've been on some good ones.
I'm thinking
