Montero has actually looked a lot better out of the pen lately.

Me too. He looked really good against the Dodgers his last time out.
You spelled Posey wrong.
On top of Matz, Wheeler, Harvey, Lugo, Gsellman, and Montero... next year Flexen, Molina, and Conlon should be knocking at the door. We should have more than enough "innings".
Go big or stand pat.
Thanks for coming into a Mets thread to tell us they suck. Much appreciated. Yankees are losing ground and don't seem to have the pitching. Maybe you should worry about that.
People can believe whatever they want with the Mets. I think if Syndergaard, Familia, and others (Walker) were back we'd be playing a lot better. The hole is very deep at this point and I just said their chances are slim to none but this is supposed to be fun. There's still 3.5 months of season left and I'll still take watching this team over most of the Mets teams I've watched in my lifetime.
I thought you were a Yankees fan too or am I mistaken? Either way, what I do with my spare time is really none of your business. Using your spare time to criticize others for watching a sport that's out of contention at the moment on a sports forum seems rather trite.
weird comment to make.
I guess I should get up and find something worthwhile to do now...

Really hoping Nunez comes back healthy and traded to a WS contender

I don't think they are trading Bumgarner
He dominated the Dodgers for about 4 innings in his last outing too.
There were rumors that he wouldn't play 3B earlier in the season unless his option was picked up and he admitted it the other day. Then when he was asked to play 2B he demanded to be traded. Im sick of Cabrera. I dont care if he gets hot with the bat... his defense is atrocious and he's not a team player. His MAX offense isn't that great anyway. Last year was a career year.

I've been out of the Mets loop the past week or so due to work being done on the house, so I definitely missed some news. What are these trade demands from Cabrera that Gary just mentioned on the broadcast?

Thanks for the info.
He isn't doing it over a season yet either. Already missed about a month

a wRC+ 141 type season. Who was the last Met to do that over a season? Piazza?

Duda missed about two weeks to injury this year.
They do not have a particularly tough stretch coming up outside of the Nats, so it is possible. I just havent seen anything consistent out of this pitching staff to believe that it actually will though.
I predict 500 record the rest of the way
I would sign Duda for another season. He s a good first baseman and I dont think Smith will be any better
Needs to stay healthy and keep pitching like that.

At 34-41, Mets are listening. Jay Bruce could have a new home.
