Started out really loving the series. Pretty well done. Season 1 was enjoyable. Season 2 started out the same ... the shift toward Miracle was interesting, but somehow started to lose its steam for me.
Without killing Season 3 with spoilers, for those of you who have seen all 3, how does Season 3 compare with 1 and 2? Worth getting into? I will probably eventually start it ... just feeling skeptical right now.
The general consensus for most people is that they had to labor through S1 for the first 3/4 or so but that they really loved S2 and thought it was incredible pretty much from start to finish.
I actually liked S1 more than most. S2 was the best of the 3, IMO.. but S3 was also really good.
I loved the entire series, personally. I could never have finished up S2 and then decided not to watch S3. It's only 8 eps. I think you kind of need to finish the series at this point. Otherwise, why even bother?
I don't really have a favorite season, But I tend to favor the 2nd halves of each season.
Season 1 ep. 6-10
Season 2 ep. 5-10
Season 3 ep. 4-8
As for watching season 3, I don't get why you wouldn't. Season 3 is still awesome but so was season 2 so I don't know where that nets out from your perspective.
Loved it... season 3 was awesome!
Only 8 episodes for season 3, I think it's worth it to keep going
whats wrong with you :)
LOL
I absolutely love it. I can't believe it wasn't watched more. Some of those episodes are so emotionally charged that I feel tired when the episode is over

I guess I found it to be somewhat convoluted in the later stages (Season 2). And I realize you have to accept some things in such a storyline in order to have a chance to enjoy it, but it almost seemed too much.
I think that's why I enjoyed the first season a bit more. It seemed more realistic, more possible to me (once I accepted that 4 million people disappeared) lol. The possible piece being the way folks reacted and tried to live their lives and deal with it all.

I did find the episode where where the cop takes the little girl to the well VERY emotionally charged.
I'd just watched the craptastic movie "It Comes at Night" so I was comparing that film to the 55 minutes of that episode of The Leftovers and felt the writers of The Leftovers won that comparison, hands down.
