He is having an MRI today. Yesterday after the game he walking around pain free. Hopefully just a week or so of rest. As others have said, he also needs to heal his wrist.
He prolly goes on dl pending MRI, otherwise they could send a pitcher down, Tyler will be up for a cup of coffee and go back unless he rips the cover off the ball.
Rather than make a big sell or buy move at the deadline I'd rather they sold off good but not great "tweeners" for just a select few more upper minor league prospects.
Clear out slots to move talent up the chain and stock the positions they still need for the future ( catcher and pitchers and 1b).
Get very good players and hope for the light to go on ( Judge)

Cave has built back some trade value this year. He might fetch an A Ball lotto ticket arm. Also Ref may not be more than a DFA at this point, but he's got a shot to do something with another team.
I'll be interested to see how Mateo does in Trenton
He's struggled in Tampa, but I wonder how much of that stems from frustration at being passed by with Torres jumping him. Maybe moving up a level gives him a fresh start and he takes advantage.

That's how I feel too. Move guys like Cave for 'lottery tickets'.

His speed is still amazing. IIRC, he's now 27 for 30 on SBs.
I assume - that spot is open, so no reason to make another move.
Doubt a hammy is a 60 day DL type injury so Castro will remain on the 40 man roster.
Not that it matters, they had one open spot and could remove Carter for a 2nd if needed.

He is not the problem. He is just the 8th hitter on this team and Torreyes seems to be able to spell him if needed.
