Hi Windows users!

Thanks to NSA, we have another nasty ransomware crisis...this time it's Petya/Not Petya.

BleepingComputer: Petya Ransomware outbrek originate in Ukraine via tainted accounting software

Nasty stuff...it uses multiple vectors to attack, not just the WannaCry vector, and it may by pass regular virus scans. However, a "vaccine" has just come out for this.

As usual, please backup all your vital files (USB hard drives are cheap), keep your OS and virus up to date, and don't download email attachments you don't know about, or get caught by a "phishing" attack.

And for heavens sake, DON'T USE UKRAINIAN ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE!!!

You can buy a firewall from Check Point, SonicWall, WatchGuard and others that can handle 2/Gbps of bandwidth and give you a a full suite of threat prevention for like $500. You won't even know it's there and you'll be spared from all of this shit.
