Bird always looked older. Maybe he is Sammy Sosa's older cousin? Injured because...old?

I can usually understand where he's coming from or what his thought process is. Hitting Headley in the 2-hole / 5-hole is indefensible. I don't care who or how many are hurt.

What else can he do with all the injuries? The team seems to have caught the injury bug that the Giants carried for a while.

Were it not for a steroid prime or McGwire, Sosa, Bonds et al, people would be going batshit about Judges potential threat to Maris and Ruth.

Which means zilch now to most, but still an amazing thing for us to consider as Yankee fans. A second half fade is certainly possible, but he could still potentially approach 50 or 60

Unreal
Random thing, but

I've noticed Judge hasn't gotten any curtain calls this year. Don't see many of those at the new stadium.

With the BP imploding, we're finally seeing what other teams have

gone through over the years. We haven't had that since at least before Wetteland, right?
BP blows another lead

like clockwork.
Bahahahahhaah.
Dave in Hoboken : 7/7/2017 10:14 pm : link
This bullpen might be unsalvagable at this point.
By leaving Clippard in
xman : 7/7/2017 10:15 pm : link
you are screwing the team. Damage is done but no sense blowing the game just to straighten out Clippard who not even divine intervention can save
The Bp is horrible..
prdave73 : 7/7/2017 10:18 pm : link
Webb? Smh. Tired of this team blowing leads.
Where is Chad Green?
nygnyy274 : 7/7/2017 10:19 pm : link
Better yet where is Adam Warren. Girardi has been managing this bullpen awfully for weeks he needs to fucking go l!!!! Five years without a playoff victory. Five years without breaking 87 wins. Five years of mediocrity.
Greene and Warren are serviceable
xman : 7/7/2017 10:21 pm : link
on good days.

Those last to batters that Clippard got out should see an eye doctor.

WTF are you talking about? What moves would you have made in the BP instead of what Girardi has done? Let's see, don't go to Clippard, or Betances, or Holder, or Webb, or German, or... Oh, and Chapman and Warren have been injured for parts of this past month.

So who would you have used?
Theres no right answer
xman : 7/7/2017 10:29 pm : link
only hindsight tells you what works or doesn't. But when Betantces is off his game you could try shifting him to the 7th. Try going with the hotter hand when one guys is horribly off and you can easily sense it

I'm talking about you! C'mon, who would you have used in all these spots that Girardi supposedly fucked up? You're smart enough to know that he doesn't know how to manage. So tell me what you'd do, you whiney fuck.

This is the shit that most teams have to deal with. It's just happening to us now.
Rothscild should
section125 : 7/7/2017 10:44 pm : link
go. Awful job. All your pitchers just don't fall apart at the same time.

Clippard got squeezed on two pitches, bu geezus walk 3 people in am inning. DFA
I have to agree that Joe has done a poor job.
Dave in Hoboken : 7/7/2017 10:45 pm : link
Sticking with Clippard for 3 weeks now and it hasn't paid off one fucking iota. Enough.
Not right what Joe did
xman : 7/7/2017 10:46 pm : link
I wonder how the players feel when Clippard comes in AND is allowed to try and pitch through self made problems. Not just how they feel about Clippard but about their manager
Hahahahah

2nd and sticking with Clippard, Joe needs a little self examination. Rothschild is not what he is cracked up to be, either.
Loading the bases with ANY of our relievers right now is just silly.
shockeyisthebest8056 : 7/7/2017 10:54 pm : link
Travis Shaw is having a good season, but he's not Ted Williams. Intentionally walking him so Clipp could face a guy who hit a long ass sac fly against him the previous inning is indefensible.

Why are you asking me who should he have brought in when I am saying where is Warren and Green obviously those are the two I wanted in their over this bum clippard and please do not give me this every team goes through this crap.. I do not see the Red Sox, Astros, Dodgers and Nationals losing 17 out of 23 games

Actually, it does. This BP was running on fumes for quite some time, and every kid we tried ultimately failed. So our only hope was to turn to the guys we had at those times.

And if you can't see that, you're missing something.

BTW, I apologize for calling nygnyy a whiney fuck. I have trouble with folks not being able to handle a bit of disappointment. I'd still love to see how nygnyy would have handled things better over the course of this last month, where NO ONE in the BP performed up to past history, none of the kids came through consistently, and the BP was gassed.

You can tell me too, SoZ, since you know so much more about the game than I do.
Yes, Clippard has been awful but
HomerJones45 : 7/7/2017 10:55 pm : link
the Brewers have given the Yanks 4 walks and 5 errors and the Yanks have managed a whole 3 hits against Guerra and Hader. Pathetic.
