NFT: Gulf War Illness and related Chronic Fatigue

SGMen : 7/10/2017 12:29 pm
Over maybe the last year or so, the Veteran's Affairs Hospital and the War Related Information Study Center (WRIISC) have begun to admit to more cases of "Gulf War Illness" (Operations Desert Storm 1990-1991), and umbrella term for admitting to exposures to oil well fires, vaccines, medications, feces burning, radiated rounds and Lord knows what else.

I received an 8-page letter after 6 full days of testing stating I had Gulf War illness as I hit every biomarker for the illness. The symptoms include chronic fatigue, lower testosterone levels, fibromyalgia, sleep disorder, Irritable bowel syndrome, etc.

The protocol to help alleviate the symptoms includes the following and it is here that I'm hoping BBI'ers pay attention and consider making lifestyle adjustments:

-remove all toxic cleaners, shampoos, soaps, detergents, sprays from the household and replace with organic products
-drink clean, distilled & purified water. If possible, even install a house purification system so showers have clean water rather than chemical fluoride tap water
-try to eat clean, organic as much as possible
-get some movement every day (walk, jog, weights, what works for you but try and sweat a bit 5x a week)
-try and sleep 7 or more hours, so critical to the body
-meditation 20 minutes at least once a day but twice is better
-consider getting a gene test and an Organic Acids and/or DUTCH lab test to see where your body fairs

My protocol is fairly new. I just ended a two-week bout with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, sleep disorder, etc., and I can tell you that based on doctor conversation, more and more people are suffering from fatigue due to exposures and lifestyle which don't help one to detox or recover.

I pray this note helps others on this board, whether they realize they may be subtly suffering or are actually suffering and don't know why. Amen.

Thank you. Years ago, I was told I have "general depression" because the symptoms are essentially the same.
But the items I bulleted (or " - " 'd above, I did that because it is useful to anyone not just me.
The thing with the vaccines, pills and oil fires is that the military (like Agent Orange) at first blew off the notion that these items could possibly impact health but today we know beyond a doubt that they did. A gene test will let you know how good (or bad) your body is at detoxing and a bunch of other things.

For example, I am gluten free; dairy free (except for grass fed butter in my morning herbal tea); and no conventional meats. It helps.

Amen. I hope you feel better, and get all the medical attention you need and so richly deserve. The military was incredible with my parents when they were sick. You deserve the same. God bless.

Thanks. The VA has improved though many appointments still take a LONG time; you have to drive to their house (for me over an hour to the 2 key NJ locations in Bernardsville/Lyons and East Orange NJ); and, sometimes you get "attitude" from staff that can't be fired but its free and I'm blessed to have that much.

But again folks, I can't emphasize enough as I've studied it how important the above simple steps are for improved health regardless of whether you have symptoms like me or not.
Sorry man

Thanks for your service.

I have had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for 25 years. I can feel your pain. My case started with Mononucleosis. Damn symptoms never went away. Fatigue, Post exertional fatigue, IBS etc...
I also tested extremely low testosterone.
I take supplemental testosterone and some expensive micronutrient vitamins have helped. It still stinks though. Hard for people to understand unless they have it because people just like to throw the depression diagnosis at our cases.

Thanks, most days I feel great. But pollution or eating something that is laced with crap can undo me in a blink of an eye. Is what it is, you do the best you can.
