As a Yankee fan you have to be pretty damned excited for this one tonight. Two Yankees - El Gary and Aaron Judge are in the contest. El Gary has a pretty big challenge facing off against the defending champ. And Judge is up against a powerful hitter in Justin Bour.

Wouldn't be surprised if more people are watching the HRD than the actual game tomorrow night.

Would love to see a Stanton vs Judge final (ideally, a Sanchez vs Judge final!).

Check out El Gary's custom bat he'll be using tonight.

Pretty awesome Clay pitching to Cody

Judge looked gassed
mfsd : 7/10/2017 10:01 pm : link
and still hit 2 over 500 feet
Sick
micky : 7/10/2017 10:01 pm : link
Just sick
he hit a ball out
MookGiants : 7/10/2017 10:01 pm : link
that ESPN never even showed because they assumed it was a pop up because he didn't even get it.
Kid's amazing

It's unbelievable.
That was a ridiculous display
David in LA : 7/10/2017 10:04 pm : link
I'm not even a Yankee fan, and I try to catch this guy in action whenever possible.
Seriously, I've run out of superlatives at this point
Greg from LI : 7/10/2017 10:04 pm : link
Most of his look like they were fired from a mortar.
At 49 i never saw Mantle
Stu11 : 7/10/2017 10:04 pm : link
But this guy has the most power I have ever seen by far. He is effortlesly hitting the ball 500 ft. and launching balls effortlesly into the upper deck to the opposite field.
Of course the winner of every round
Taggart : 7/10/2017 10:05 pm : link
wins by 1 dinger. This thing is so fuckin rigged! Bats are probably corked too.
I think if he slows down and takes
section125 : 7/10/2017 10:05 pm : link
fewer swings he'll have a higher %. Each time after the timeout he crushed it and then in the last 1:30 he really slowed and hit a couple over 500 ft.
Sano is well rested though
B in ALB : 7/10/2017 10:05 pm : link
That's the key. Stamina. He gets The Judge/Bellinger round and two long commercial segments.

Like mantle..i think this kid is going to hit one out of Yankees stadium before all said and done
as a Yankee fan
Bill2 : 7/10/2017 10:06 pm : link
the opposite field HRs and the semi hit home runs are as promising as the 500 foot home run

thrilling event to watch. I anticipated sort of a junk sports kind of deal but it has been entertaining
The best part about Aaron Judge
dune69 : 7/10/2017 10:06 pm : link
is the smile and the fact he's such a likable kid.

He has fun. He's good for baseball.
He hit one 513
MookGiants : 7/10/2017 10:06 pm : link
and it wasn't even probably the furthest one he hit tonight, we'll just never know because the other hit the roof

Yes and Bellinger was laughing saying he misses it and still hits it out....
Mantle had better speed than Judge (before Mantle was hurt) and Mantle
Del Shofner : 7/10/2017 10:07 pm : link
was very powerful, but Mantle was built more or less like a normal human being, and Aaron Judge is not. Mickey could not have done what you just saw from Judge.
Judge is a great guy
spike : 7/10/2017 10:08 pm : link
He even talked to and fistpumped his waterboy

I saw Mantle play a lot. I've told others that Judge hits HRs like Mickey. Hi and deep
Feels like Sano
bubba0825 : 7/10/2017 10:09 pm : link
Has a slight advantage of going first and having a longer rest.
one of my buddies
MookGiants : 7/10/2017 10:10 pm : link
met Judge last year at a bar in Scranton while he was here. He has a picture of him, his fiancee, and Judge. Judge is in the middle and his fiancee is at best 4'11, he showed me the picture recently and i nearly pissed myself
I am so happy and proud to be an Aaron Judge fan.
Dave in Hoboken : 7/10/2017 10:10 pm : link
The next decade+ is going to be FUN.
Sano's pitcher
bigbluehoya : 7/10/2017 10:11 pm : link
Has a pretty deceptive release for a BP guy
Man I hope Judge can use all his time and put on a show for everyone
guitarguybs12 : 7/10/2017 10:11 pm : link
Otherwise this final is going to suck.
Bour will end up with the second highest round at 22
mfsd : 7/10/2017 10:12 pm : link
He got the short straw with the draw, but that was impressive
Sano with a late rush of HRs gets to 10
dpinzow : 7/10/2017 10:13 pm : link
Here's the Judge
I
Bill2 : 7/10/2017 10:14 pm : link
was at the Stadium last week and to my eye Judge has a lot of backspin on the homeruns I saw so the arc was much different than any other Hr hitters I ever saw.

Mantle hit more parabolas. Most Hr hitter do. Kingman hit moonshots. Judge hits a very fast line drive that rises and takes off for a long time then drops sharply.
well, here we go.
Del Shofner : 7/10/2017 10:15 pm : link
.
I was a M&M
Jay in Toronto : 7/10/2017 10:17 pm : link
Fan though in 61 I was really pulling for Maris.

I remember the Mick hitting one out on a check swing.
You guys who saw mantle and now judge are very fortunate

People forget about Kingman. He wasn't a great all around ballplayer but he was like Judge in terms of being somewhat of a physical freak. I was at the Stadium once when Kingman hit a ball out of the old Stadium - it was foul, but it was about 2/3 of the way down the left field line. That was impressive.
This thing isn't over
B in ALB : 7/10/2017 10:18 pm : link
By a long shot.

Hold on to your tits.

Sano got it on his very last swing.

And I was

Bour

put on a show, posted a huge number, Judge still went out and beat him.
