they created a mini-Cyber Monday holiday in the doldrums of Q2 in retail, which is usually dead, and they clear inventory prior to holiday season.
Prime Day tends to be a giant garage sale of crap, but if you go in with a specific target of things you want (ie- smart TV, a router, maybe a charger or something) this is your chance. Also, Amazon products tend to be at a good price here, so if you want an echo, this is your shot.
Not always. But it has made brick and mortar scared enough to try very hard to keep up. PC Richards price matched on Amazon for some speakers and refunded me about 170 bucks.
I've been waiting for this for a month to buy a TV and think I'm gonna pull the trigger. Amazon TV - ( New Window )
Not familiar with the brand. I'd say if you really want to make the jump to 4K, you should try to find a deal on a 4K TV with HDR as a feature. Half the pleasure of it is watching 4K content in HDR.
Thinking about grabbing one. Does it play Apple Music if it syncs to my phone?
Echo doesn't support Apple Music within the interface. But it is a Bluetooth speaker and by linking your phone to it, the music should play on it. But there are certainly better and cheaper speakers you could get.

Yeah, with Siri I don't really need to use it for anything other than as a Bluetooth/portable speaker. Not too tech savvy, can you recommend any decent Bluetooth speakers?
RE: Don't forget to go through Eric if you buy something. Â

Echo's "always listening" presence and home control features differentiate it from Siri IMO.
Anyway, speakers aren't really my baliwick, but the Anker Soundcore is a pretty good speaker for the money. There are lots of others.

I agree. I just went through some pages of Prime deals in certain areas of interest and only one item interested me. Last year, my husband and I found a lot of great deals on camping equipment and a couple of electronic items we were looking for (headphones, we both got Fire tablets, which we love, and a portable battery). This year doesn't strike me as being as good. Oh well. Happy shopping all - hope some of you find some good deals on items you're looking for. This is where your "Wish Lists" come in handy because Amazon will let you know if something on your wish list goes on sale.

I wonder if Eric can register BBI onto Amazon Smile.

Smile is only for 501(c)3 charitable organizations.

bundle for like $103. Would've preferred a pink option for my girl, but good deal on something we were looking to pick up anyway.
I got the 2 pack Amazon Fire 8 Kids edition for $150
That's a good deal, would've done it if I had more than 1 kid.

One for me and one for my parents. My kids are too small still
My wifes research and Ancestry.com, including DNA testing (a Xmas present from Mom) showed I'm:
@35% Italian
@15% Spanish
@20% English/Scottish
@10% Irish (old census forms)
@15% Latvian (census forms)
No German.
My wife knew she was part Native American. Ancestry DNA proved that old family legend wrong, and no, I'm not married to Elizabeth Warren. :)
5 bucks - ( New Window )
All-Clad 7-Piece - ( New Window )
Two weeks ago I purchased printer ink for 44.77 that same exact item was 54.95 yesterday that’s one hell of a mark up for a one day sale.
