I wonder if we have finally reached a breaking point where teams can't just bend their fans over and gouge them with insane ticket prices, food and drink prices, parking, etc.
I am not optimistic we've reached this point, but it's really frustrating as a loyal fan to constantly be price gouged all the time. And yes, the Maras are as guilty of this as anyone else. I know us Giants fan love the family and rightfully so for many reasons, but they take advantage of us and charge as insane prices as anyone else.

Fans have choices, except for alcohol. You are allowed to bring in food. Every year I go with my son to see the Yanks play at the Oakland Coliseum. We either eat before we go in or bring sandwiches and sodas/water in with us. This year we wanted to see BP so I figured we would eat at the stadium. I bought the Sausage and peppers. Not only was it expensive, the peppers and onions were raw and the sausage was horrible. It was supposed to be an Italian sausage. I have no idea what it was but it was not good.
Obviously, the expense-account crowd is price-insensitive, which is a big factor at the Garden and Yankee Stadium. At MetLife, most people are probably spending their own money. Their willingness to spend so much of it on a hot dog and a beer has always baffled me. Tailgating is way better anyway.

Also, if you think the price of food is cheap, wait until you see the upperdeck tickets in two years on the secondary market.
