Absolutely. Eli isn't getting any younger. D. Webb definitely needs a year to watch & learn how the pro game is played (be under center, read defenses, all the formations) and practicing with Evan Engram is a step in the right direction. August 11 and some snaps can't come fast enough.
can't wait for the season to start. Webb won't contribute this year ... but, excited to see this offense with Engram and Sterling (a year older) and of course ... (what's his name).
"I know I'm ready to come in and make an immediate impact," Engram said. "I know for a fact. I've been watching the Giants, they're on TV all the time. I sit down and watch them, especially this past year. I've been really analyzing teams and certain offenses. The Giants have been missing a piece like me."
Engram ran a slightly faster 40 than Beckham. While only .01 difference, the fact they are even close despite Engram's size is ridiculous.

covering this group of receivers and tight ends! Kid doesn't fight the catch either, it's one pass but he is smooth and his speed just blows my mind for his size! These two could be running routes and completing passes for a long time.
that any defensive coordinator is going to be happy seeing one on one with Engram. When he is on the field with Odell, Marshall ANNND Shepard, that defense is in trouble if they don't have six defensive backs on the field IMO.
And if the O-Line can block and not blow assignments
I think Perkins has the capacity to make a lot of guys in this league miss in the open field and he could have a big year as well. This Offense is going to be scary IMO but time will tell.
I don't think Eli is going to have enough balls to spread around to
keep all the receivers happy, especially if Vereen returns (and if he doesn't return, sign another back who can catch).
I'm guess that Marshall will be the most unhappy.
IMO that's a bit of a myth. Engram is going to be eating into touches that Will Tye and Larry Donnell got last year. The WR's might see more even touches between OBJ, Marshall, and Shepard. Highly doubt Marshall would complain about not getting touches, when he knows he's going in as a #2.

Also, better third down completion percentage will extend drives which leads to more opportunities.
Good clean crystal clean air to help build lung capacity
I'll never understand why the team moved training camp to the swamp vs the beauty of the Hudson valley.
$$$$$$ - can you imagine what it costs to bring 150 people to upstate for 3 weeks? Plus they have their training facilities and medical rooms at hand at MetLife...They can go inside if it rains or gets too hot.

They spent the money to build a state of the art training center in Jersey. However beautiful the valley is, I'm sure they'd rather have access to better equipment and better facilities.
Plus there's something dodgy about having your highly paid, fine-tuned professional athletes get their rest in twin sized college dorm bunks. Can't exactly be great for your 300-pound linemen.

This.
Eli gets roughly 600 throws under Mac's system every year.
150 for Odell.
100 for Engram, Shep, and Marshall each
80 for Vereen.
And 70 for everyone else.
Could easily have five guys with 60 catches.
And of all these numbers, vereen doesn't stay healthy
Gallman seems like he can be the bellcow if you look at his skillset and size, with Perkins as the COP back. So, I think he may evolve into a bigger role, earlier than Perkins did last year. That said, if Vereen goes down (and even if he doesn't), I think we need to draft a pass catcher RB in 2018. I've started looking at Draft 2018 to see who we might target. The kid out of Miami and the kid out of Washington seem intriguing to me for that role, Mark Walton and Myles Gaskin.
What do we do all the time? Shotgun inside handoff. This single play is a huge part of McAdoo's scheme as Eli simply checks to it if a D is in a certain alignment.
What did Clemson do all the time? Shotgun inside handoff with DeShaun Watson in Shotgun almost 100% of the time.
Gallman is very good at this play. He's much faster than Jennnings, picks a crease full speed. Defenses were playing both S's 25 yards deep last year and that will continue until our RBs start breaking runs against 6 on 6 blocking. Gallman over Jennings is a part of the solution to what was killing us last year.

And I think he'll benefit a lot from the preseason games for his blocking. I think he has a real shot of seeing significant time with the first few weeks, depending on our needs at RB.
I was going to write the same thing. I always notice that HS field while sitting in traffic outside of the Lincoln Tunnel.

And, Marshall too ... almost forgot about him.
Of course, the moment Webb started running, we'd know it wasn't Manning.
I'm guess that Marshall will be the most unhappy.

Worked out pretty well for Eli.
for the first loss of the season?
