MookGiants : 7/14/2017 10:32 pm : link
on two lucky infield singles. Fuck
After the last few
Photoguy : 7/14/2017 10:32 pm : link
weeks, my confidence level is not exactly pointing upwards, here.
Chapman needs to strike out 3 in a row
DennyInDenville : 7/14/2017 10:32 pm : link
Win this fucker
Toe , oh No..
DennyInDenville : 7/14/2017 10:34 pm : link
Oh no
Torreyes
MookGiants : 7/14/2017 10:35 pm : link
is not nearly good enough to fuck up like he has tonight in the field.

Why the fuck is he positioned like that? Playing him halfway makes no sense. Either play back or play all the way in
can't pin this one on Chapman
MookGiants : 7/14/2017 10:35 pm : link
ball hasn't left the infield and these jackasses have a horse shoe up their ass
Absolutely can pin it on Chapman too
Kyle in NY : 7/14/2017 10:38 pm : link
He has no command and he isn't getting swings and misses anymore

This contract already looks brutal

Walks in the winning run. Fucking joke
Ball
cokeduplt : 7/14/2017 10:38 pm : link
DIdnt leave the infield wtf did I just watch!
It's to the point where I almost expect this bullpen
Dave in Hoboken : 7/14/2017 10:39 pm : link
to give up a 9th inning lead every time these days.

What a fuckin joke
B in ALB : 7/14/2017 10:39 pm : link
Chapman fucked his own ass and Torres was a nightmare in the field. Another horrific loss. Great job assholes.
What in the
Photoguy : 7/14/2017 10:39 pm : link
blue fuck is going on?

Danny Kanell : 7/14/2017 10:39 pm : link
What a brutal fucking loss. Goddamnit
Let's be honest.
LarmerTJR : 7/14/2017 10:39 pm : link
Infield single, infield single (really an error), an error, IBB, and a walk...
85 million dollars
Kyle in NY : 7/14/2017 10:40 pm : link
and the guy has no idea where the ball is going and can't throw a slider. Fuck off
Chapman sucks now
32_Razor : 7/14/2017 10:40 pm : link
he is taking the money and running. He won a WS and is just collecting money on the yankees now. His mind is not into the game.
How many more years of Chapman?
LarmerTJR : 7/14/2017 10:40 pm : link
No one is swinging through his stuff any more...and the command is give...
Game was lost because Toe didn't make some plays
Phil in LA : 7/14/2017 10:40 pm : link
Gardy dropped one, and we didn't run our best lineup out there.
Can't remember a month of Yankee baseball like this in a long time
Stu11 : 7/14/2017 10:41 pm : link
Just pure misery night after night. You keep figuring it will turn around at some point but it doesn't. The back end of the pen is like rolling yge dice at this point. Man the wheels have come off yhe wagon.
Yanks' 18th blown save of the year.
Dave in Hoboken : 7/14/2017 10:41 pm : link
They had 16 all of last season.

These guys fucking suck.
a closer has to strike them out
32_Razor : 7/14/2017 10:41 pm : link
he threw all fast balls and had no control

Maybe after this weekend, sell off continues. We're relying on the young guys to hit without good enough pitching.
Chapman has no idea where the ball is going
B in ALB : 7/14/2017 10:42 pm : link
He had sucked cack.

23 pitches, 11 strikes, maybe 2 swing and misses? That's fuckin pathetic. Horrific stuff from Chapman.
I've never seen
Kyle in NY : 7/14/2017 10:43 pm : link
a more hittable 100+mph fastball. I think he had one swing and miss all inning in 25 pitches. It's incredibly alarming
Another kick-in-the-balls loss.
bceagle05 : 7/14/2017 10:43 pm : link
Ellsbury needs to get Sandoval'd. Frazier, Gardner, Hicks and Judge should be the OF group when Hicks gets healthy.
Can Frazier fucking play tomorrow?
Dave in Hoboken : 7/14/2017 10:43 pm : link
When the fuck is Hicks coming back? Jesus Christ.
RE: RE: Let's be honest.
LarmerTJR : 7/14/2017 10:44 pm : link
Not joking, today was a combination of bad luck, bad fielding, and lack of command.

Chapman
Percy : 7/14/2017 10:44 pm : link
Tells you something about AL pressure compared to the NL.
Frankly, he can't be counted on in tight games in this League. IMHO, he just wasn't worth the money. Find someone else (along with real, reliable pitching help overall -- a festering shortcoming of the Yankees stratergy).
I've run out of things to bitch about
Stu11 : 7/14/2017 10:50 pm : link
Either the SP'S get us down 5-0 or the backend guys blow it or both. I love Joe but in this stretch his lineup decisions continue to boggle the mind. Truthfully in a bunch of these games we've blown its allowing baserunners in the 7th and 8th that have killed us. We let teams turn over the order and get their best hitters up in the 9th.
just depressing, frankly

Stu11
Photoguy : 7/14/2017 10:53 pm : link
nailed it...............this last month has been absolutely mind numbing in the way they've blown games.
Can we get Ellsbury out of the fuckin lineup too please?
B in ALB : 7/14/2017 10:53 pm : link
Frazier should play until Hicks is back. Enough.

I hope this is just a one-year hangover for Chapman.
bceagle05 : 7/14/2017 10:55 pm : link
That contract looks frightening right now.
Gardner
KingZ : 7/14/2017 10:55 pm : link
He's the one vet, I hope they don't trade. All the rest should be available.
Another putrid punch in the balls 1 run loss
The_Boss : 7/14/2017 10:56 pm : link
Makes you appreciate the Mariano years. Now, we're just another team crossing our fingers in the 9th with a lead.

Chances are Severino won't out duel Sale tomorrow and they'll manage to split Sunday losing 3 of 4 up there and leave 5.5 out...

Batting 7th, I'm not sure why he was in the lineup. He's fragile.
Sounds like I picked a good night to skip watching baseball
mfsd : 7/14/2017 11:01 pm : link
and go to a movie
Like someone else mentioned, playing Ellsbury
shockeyisthebest8056 : 7/14/2017 11:03 pm : link
was a pure "binder" move. Gardner and Ellsbury have solid/good numbers coming into the game versus Pomeranz. I would've started Frazier myself at one of those spots.

What a terrible loss. How many of these can we take??????????
Front end rotation...
M.S. : 7/15/2017 8:48 am : link

...back end rotation.

Yanks quickly spinning into out of space.

Pitching has been the downfall of this team
EddieNYG : 7/15/2017 8:52 am : link
In 2017. Whether it's a starting pitcher getting rocked early in the game or the bullpen blowing a lead late, it's either one or the other lately.

holy overreaction
HomerJones45 : 7/15/2017 9:26 am : link
Chapman almost singe handidly won the WS for the Cubs Even without his command, ball doesnt get out of the infield Infielders blow two routine pkays and now he sucks Pitchers go through slumps too Look at Betances That doesnt mean these two arent really, really good

Left handed rookies usually sit against left handed starters That's the way it is It will be surprising if Frazier plays against Sale

There he is. Doesn't show up unless the Yankees shit the bed. Like clockwork.

And homerjones - Frazier is a righty. Why wouldn't he bat against Sale? Your post makes no sense.

Don't confuse speed with good baserunning. Gardner is fast, but has never been more than an average base stealer.

And don't confuse base stealing with base running. He is one of the best base runners in the majors.

I had left field on the brain. You are right, the post makes no sense and neither did leaving Frazier out of the lineup last night.

My thinking as well. The starting rotation is another story unfortunately.
Agree about Frazier homer

Their insistence on playing the utterly useless Ellsbury is insane. Plus Red Thunder was hot coming into the break.
