He rarely does with Sanchez. IDK why they would start a big road trip ignoring one of the few things that worked the final month of the first half.
I have defended Romine here but look at it this way - Sanchez is an all-star, Holliday is back at DH and we just traded for a real 1B. Who sits for Romine, whose bat is that of a backup catcher?

ITA agree Sanchez should be starting the first day after the break, but why go with Montgomery if they weren't going to use the catcher they obviously think he performs better with? Might as well start Sevy or Tanaka.
We're not the manager, but they clearly see the same things we do and the same numbers otherwise Romine wouldn't have caught his last 7 games.
are in the Yanks' long-term plans, and Romine not so much (though like I said, I like Romine). At what point do you just force Sanchez and Monty to start working together? If you look at this from next year's perspective, it doesn't strike me as crazy.
I would prefer Ellsbury scratched. Traded for a pitcher. Baby steps lol. Hopefully that happens before Hicks returns.
I thought Frazier would have started tonight over Jacoby.
Ellsbury could get concussed. Then they will never trade him. I agree on Frazier. There is no showcase with Ellsbury. DFA him please or bench him until pitcher with bad contract swap is complete, he has less luck than Fowler.
I'm guessing he trusts Gardy more than Frazier to handle LF and the monster at Fenway
It really frustrates me when that happens he is the fastest guy on the team you have your big hitters coming up to drive him in

Walks the #9 guy - can't do that.
Have you looked at the rest of the league? It's the rabbit ball ERA, man.
"I feel like I'm walking on sunshine!"
This screams a subtle hint from Cash coupled with the three ring.
The only thing they may be stuck is paying him, but paying him doesn't mean he has to be on the roster.
