Considering they beat Sale back in may in the 8th inning after being shut out, I would not concede that the Sox should have won yesterday. In the Friday loss, Chapman had two seeing eye base hits and then bad fielding after that before some bad walks. At least Kimbrel gave up a HR to a masher.
As I said earlier, the Red Sox plan to pitch to the Yanks is breaking balls hard inside or outside corner, then throw high pitches away to get then to swing. Good plan and is working well.
Maybe doing it just to get a clarification on the play. Since nothing happened except for one extra batter in that inning, I doubt MLB would rule in the Sox favor.
