only when the situation pretty much demands it (everything else is closed, too remote, etc.). Mostly because of dietary requirements, not wanting to eat too much or get too much salt.
One thing I have noticed, the past decade they've done a LOT more tinkering with their menu items than they had in the past. I'm guessing due to competition (although it's possible that the changes are cost driven).
Not sure if it's just me getting older, but I used to really enjoy a Whopper, now not so much. Big Macs weren't bad either, but they feel a lot more processed than they had before. And the Wendy's grilled chicken sandwich seems nothing like what they originally had, which is a shame. Their chili and a grilled chicken sandwich were my go-to when there was nothing else around and I was trying to keep it on the low side.
far ahead of everyone. But I agree that either they have been going downhill or the others are catching up. I put it Wendys 1A to McDonald's 1B, and McDonald's beats them in certain categories.
The most disappointing thing was when Wendy's decided to get rid of the Twisted Frosty. I went there multiple times a week for those babies.
Only think I eat at any of these places now is coffee and an egg sandwich from McDonalds. Their egg sandwich (particularly the egg white one) is a sneaky "healthy" option when you're travelling.
I'm going to eat steak, smoke cigars, and drink too many beers and probably cash out by 75. Give up everything and maybe I'd make it to 85 and get to use a walker and a diaper while bragging about my age.
I will never understand why people willingly eat this disgusting "food"
it's about as bad/unhealthy as anything you could choose to put in your body
It's not too hard to understand. If your on the road with a family with children and you don't want to stop at a full blown restaurant and waste an hour or two it is a practical option.
That said I try and not eat fast food much anymore, and if I do there are often better options than the three listing in this thread but that was what he asked us to reply about.
like this come up some people irrationally lose the concept of moderation and jump right up on their soap boxes.
I don't think a single poster here has claimed to eating fast food as a regular occurrence, maybe Davisian.
I know, it's the fear mongering I'm talking about. I don't think a grown person alive thinks fast food for the most part is a healthy food choice, yet I also don't know many people who believe that eating it for convenience once in a while will send you to the morgue or cause you to become obese.
I think I had a spicy chicken sandwich a few weeks ago, so I'm probably going to gain 200lbs from it, lose function in both kidneys and wind up with diabeetus.

I'm surprised you're not in the ER. Or maybe you're still in line.
Not sure why White Castle is included in Fast Food

Same here - walking distance and my kids love it, but it's basically Five Guys and a cost multiplier.
We still have in MI

McD for breakfast, egg Mc Muffin is tops.

Sometimes you're in a rush and you're on the road and you need to eat something - that's why they call it "fast food"
Yeah, there are other options, but in some cases it's just the most convenient thing.
I would never choose to eat fast food if I had the time to prepare something better myself or just order something way better, but it happens.
BK = Burgers
Wendy = Frosty's
Other choices better then the above
Rut Hutts = hot dogs
Five Guys = Burger and Fries
Chic Fila = Chicken Sandwiches and Shakes
Road Warrior Picks
White Mana Burgers
White Castle Burger
So far...Culver's is the best.
"a better brand of beef makes a butter burger better"
oh, and custard.

You essentially said the exact same thing less than an hour prior to this message with not a single person disagreeing with you.

Because it's delicious.
Have fun being the healthiest asshole in the retirement community.

I guess we have different ideas of "delicious" ... and yes I'm looking forward to actually enjoying my retirement.

Davisian is right, psychotic, but he's right.
but it's delicious and sometimes I'm in traffic!
Yup!

You should probably get your shine box.

Totally! Because these are all things that will clearly happen if you eat fast food a few times a year.

Maybe you didn't hear about it, you've been away a long time. They didn't go up there and tell you. I don't shine shoes anymore.
that and I'm pretty sure you didn't understand my point.
Suckers.

Try it with a couple of Newports and a 4Loko. Makes everything better.
Also - I'm on team Arby's. They have the meat.
Suckers.

YO McRib LO
Suckers.
You're so out of shape you can't even play fantasy football.

I'm probably in better shape than half of you schlubs on your soapboxes lecturing everyone about how bad fast food is for you.

I've been training all off-season - everyone's going to come out assuming a win against me and they're not going to know what hit them.

You're going to be in a fast food coma and miss the waiver window.

Me too, minus the "honestly" part.

I hear ya. I usually don't drink before breakfast on weekdays so it happened.
