This is per wiki, so I can't vouch for it - but it says "only the USA at the international level moving forward" -
On June 3, 2017, Gonzalez was named by Bruce Arena to the United States' 40-man preliminary roster for the 2017 Gold Cup.[7] On June 29, U.S. Soccer confirmed that Gonzalez's one-time switch had been approved by FIFA, and thus he would be representing only the USA at the international level moving forward.[8] On July 16, Gonzalez was added to the United States' 23-man roster for the Gold Cup knockout stage.[9]
He's playing for Borussia Dortmund at the IC Cup in China. He drew a penalty against AC Milan last night.

Cristian Pulisic (spelling) on the roster?

...and beautifully assisted two other goals :)

Hedges ... was terrific.
He can't switch back anymore. The same is true for Kenny Saief who recently switched from Israel to the USA and was supposed to play in this tournament but got injured.
Haven't seen Arena's starting XI posted yet, any guesses on that?
There is a future stud player playing for the Red Bulls right now. Tyler Adams (age 17) is a promising midfield prospect that today is playing as a right wing back...he's killing it at the position. Great 2 way prospect.

You typed it. You meant it. :)
This is leaving talent aside - I think for NYCFC to move up they've got to get their own place, great as YS is for baseball, for soccer not so much.
Oh - and Toronto is good, even on the narrow field.
3 Omar González
21 Matt Hedges
26 Michael Bradley
16 Justin Morrow
15 Eric Lichaj
25 Darlington Nagbe
9 Gyasi Zardes
20 Paul Arriola
27 Jozy Altidore
28 Clint Dempsey
If it is, NYCFC got an exemption. That YS field is not 70 yards wide. It looks like 10 yards from the edge of the penalty area to the touch line. That would make it 64 yards.
YS field 15% smaller than normal - ( New Window )
Should be up 3-0 after acclimating the first ten minutes. Anyone think it's the same score if Klinsmann is the manager?
Up to Lichaj's goal he was terrible as was Hedges.
Zardes looks excellent - quick and great ball control and passes - so far the best player on the US side. Nagbe - same. Bradley looks good back where he is now. Morrow looks pretty good too.
El Salvador with a hatchet job all night on Altidore. (as well as every other player)
Nagbe's yellow was a bad call - borderline at best.
Gonzalez playing very well.

With jk as manager Lichaj would have actually been playing stoker.

A rhetorical question that begs to be answered with a resounding - NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Tough guys dishing punishment and writhing in pseudo pain on the smallest of incidents.
Fucking trash.
for Arriola.
Considerably tougher. I don't think tonight's effort beats Costa Rica.

Jozy Altidore was the recipient of most of the unwanted advances, including a bite from El Salvador defender Henry Romero in the 59th minute. Romero later twisted Altidore's nipple and both actions had the effect of incapacitating the U.S. forward for a few seconds. ...
About the only thing that was lacking from the match was a red card or two. Altidore said he had never been bitten before, at least not without his permission.
"My girl is mad at me," he said. "She's mad at me, she's mad at Romero. She's like 'Only I can bite you, only I can grab your nipples.'"

he stopped a sure goal at 3 minutes in, and distributed so well. He's like Eli - we are going to miss him when he's gone.
He's been so solid that even when a competent guy like Guzan gets on the pitch, it is like a steep dropoff.
USA back 4 were awful. Way too many turnovers.
Zardes goal was good.
Naghbe player of the match. Very confident and positive play on the ball.
Better play better against Costa Rico or they will lose.
