and yet the Giants released Josh Brown without a guilty verdict in a court case

Exactly what punishment is Jones going to hand down to Elliott given the same allegations?

A release? BA HA HA HA

The Giants handed down no punishment. They paid him long after they were aware of the allegations. Sat by while the NFL stumbled through an investigation led by a Giants season ticket holder. Acquiesced to a one game suspension instead of the automatic 6 games. Then saw it all blow up in there face and still held onto Brown. Of the most significant difference is that Brown was guilty of DV. Zeke was not. Model organization my ass.

I'm not saying the Giants are a model organization, I hate that shit, but what was Brown guilty of?

Over twenty instances of domestic violence.

I think you need to look up the word guilty.

It has a specific meaning.

I'm not saying Brown isn't a piece of shit and the Giants handled the situation properly, but to say Brown is guilty and Elliott isn't is a 100% fabrication. Show me where Brown was convicted (or even charged) with anything./

Semantics. He confessed to 20 instances to his psychiatrist. The model Giants kept him on long after they were aware.
Gotta love douchebags

Who say "semantics" as if the meanings of words are arbitrary facts rather than the meat of an argument.
The report from the counselor
pjcas18 : 7/20/2017 1:01 pm : link
was not made available (for a variety of reasons) until the whole thing blew up in October, shortly after the Giants released Brown.

Again, not defending the Giants here, but you are going too far.

Got to love hypocrites who think a 20 time DV case enabled by the Giants is nothing compared to an obviously false DV accusation from someone who was caught recruiting people to lie on their behalf.

And he said he "never hit her" and Mara interviewed him and the evidence available at the time, despite no charges being filed, determined the league suspension was appropriate.

I, for the millionth time, am not defending the Giants, but based on what information was available to Mara at the time what do you think was appropriate for Josh Brown? Beheading? Jail? suspension beyond what the league mandated?

once Mara learned more he acted. THAT is what people suspect Jones would not do.

Thanks man. Maybe the difference in the two situations would be clearer if ignorance wasn't so popular here.
Not only..
FatMan in Charlotte : 7/20/2017 1:27 pm : link
did the Giants voluntarily release Brown, the Cowboys voluntarily signed Hardy.

If you think for a second they would suspend Zeke before the NFL, you'd have to have an IQ lower than elbowj's.

Giants: We were certainly aware of the abuse

Fat Mouth: Model organization

You think other people are stupid?
LOL..
FatMan in Charlotte : 7/20/2017 1:53 pm : link
Reading comprehension isn't a strong suit I see.

I didn't say the Giants were a model organization. what I said is that they released a guy under suspicion of domestic abuse, while the Cowboys signed a guy who had already been declared guilty. And the owner went on to call him a team leader.

The liklihood on how they handle Zeke is that they will do nothing.

That doesn't speak to the greatness of the giants - it speaks to the shittiness if Dallas. Did that really need to be clarified?

The Zeke DV case is obviously false
elbowj : 7/20/2017 2:17 pm : link
You're giving the Giants a pat on the back for enabling an abuser and releasing him only after the extent of his abuse became public knowledge. They knew. They kept him. They agreed with a minimal punishment outside of league rules. They did jack until they got exposed. Your organization is as scummy as any out there. Glass houses douchnozzle.
When..
FatMan in Charlotte : 7/20/2017 2:48 pm : link
Giants ownership calls Josh Brown a team leader. we can talk about glass houses.

Otherwise, it is a shitload of false equivalency.

Jerry Jones took Greg Hardy and not only signed him, but openly talked about him as a locker room uniter and team leader.

Somehow you keep trying to deflect the way that looks on the Cowboys by talking about the Giants. Not sure why.

The Cowboys have ignored character issues for the better part of the last 30 years. Josh Brown, who is no longer with the Giants, justifies this in your mind?

Ah yes. I believe their was a Giant who was found of young ladies as well if you're trying to expand your hypocrisy over a longer timeline. He wasn't very well known though.

Yea a handful of Giants vs 50+ cowboys makes everything ok
Looked up some numbers
fanatic II : 7/21/2017 4:04 am : link
On NFLArrest since 2000 there have been 15 NYG's arrested and 18 Cowboys.

According to NFL suspensions also since 2000 NYG's have 10 and Dallas has 13. Of those 13 Rolondo McClain accounts for 4 and Randy Gregory 3, over half the total.

Those numbers are not that great of a difference between the two teams.

Most NY fans perceive Dallas to have a higher number of arrest and suspensions, but Dallas is actually below what would be average for the NFL.
