One of those things I was glad I was alive for. Had a summer job on the 34th floor at 40 Wall, which was office space back then. Watched the helicopter with the astronauts land (where South Street Seaport is now) taking them to the ticker tape parade down Broadway. Even though we were a block and a half from Broadway everything but out supervisors got tossed out the window.
About 7 weeks after I saw Hendrix at MSG.
A good summer.
