I've actually been relatively supportive of him here, as I don't think he's a bum - but I don't think he's a real first baseman on a playoff team either. As for Ellsbury - the contract is the problem as we all know. On the merits he'd be the one to go once Hicks is back.

They haven't done that yet. I doubt they send Frazier anywhere other than higher in the batting order.

They simply cannot play Ellsbury, Headley, and Holliday together at this point. The first 2 are awful and Holliday has done literally nothing outside of the Kimbrel HR.

I know it's tough to handle vets in these spots, but Clint has to play.

Where Headley and Ellsbury are batting provides a lot of information (IMO) about where they stand with these vets with 2018 contracts. Headley, who I like and Ellsbury might not be on the team in 10 days or may be reduced to pinch hitters.

Hawkins committed the cardinal sin of wanting to wear #21 (which I realize now is silly to be upset about), then completely sucking. They traded for Matt Lawton to help the OF and he proceeded to suck in every way imaginable. After the season, he got suspended for steroids.

Don't ever let anyone tell you guys who use steroids automatically get inflated stats.
