NFT: Friend of mine died of a Heat Stroke

BigBlueDownTheShore : 7/21/2017 8:59 am
Played football with him since we were in the 3rd grade. Please make sure you you are being careful out there if you are working in the heat and stay hydrated.

Sorry for your loss.

Always run with a water bottle outside in the summer months, along with as little clothing as possible...usually just shorts and a T-shirt. Also, I try to stay in the shade.

Sorry for your loss.

He was in construction of some sort.

I am so sorry for your loss. RIP. God bless. Please stay hydrated. I live north of Baltimore, and it is not surprisingly in the high 90s today.
If you feel thirsty

you're already dehydrated. Be smart everybody, you can't drink enough in the heat, and keep your head covered in the sun. Just covering your eyes (visor, sunglasses) won't keep you from overheating.
Sorry for your loss man

It can be in some cases, but heat-related deaths aren't necessarily fluky things that are the result of carelessness. Thousands of people die from heat stroke yearly. It's by far the most frequent weather-related death, outnumbering deaths by hurricane, tornadoes, tsunamis, floods, etc.
Very sorry for your loss

You are 1000% correct in being careful out there. Just yesterday I was out cutting the grass for about 35mins and had a bout of blurred vision after. It was bad for a couple of hours.
the heat has been brutal lately

It's nothing to fool around with. If you can avoid doing things outdoors in the middle of the day while it's high 90s and humid, do it.
