we even get a seventh for him? Most teams already have someone like Tye, and I like him. Good on ST, and a reliable move the chains guy. But that's pretty common in this league.
most likley wont be much but he does have some value. he caught 90 passes in the last two seasons a team in need of a TE2 or 3 mightbe willing to part with a reserve or id take a late (6or7, most likely 7) pick for him
You guys might be underestimating Tye a bit, not saying he's great but there have been people drafted higher than him(undrafted) that have done a lot less. I would hope they keep him for depth if he earns a spot
Probably from Raanan's roster projection (article in Dawg's thread).
Quote:
The Giants have depth at tight end with Engram being selected in the first round, Ellison signed as a free agent and LaCosse returning from injury. Something tells me Will Tye becomes expendable (via trade) late this summer, as long as this group can remain healthy. His pass-catching skills aren’t needed with Engram on the roster...
and the kid makes an effort but he always looks slow out there like he's running in mud after the catch.
He did not make an effort in Philly the last play of the game when Terrance brooks picked off Eli to seal the game or week 3 when he ran a poor route and Dunbar picked off Eli in the red zone
Probably from Raanan's roster projection (article in Dawg's thread).

kind of naive to interpret that as on the trade block tbh

I say hold out for the cannoli!
Mike's Pastry or Modern Pastry?
Anyone going to the North End, ends up at one of these places....
We are a small town of about 13K, and have two Dunkin' Donuts.....back in the day, they were good....now, their donuts have an after taste.....their sweet toppings are average at best....and their muffins, especially blueberry, are doughy in the center.....About the only thing is go there for, is an occasional chocolate covered persian....
There is this small Scandinavian bakery, that I buy plain donuts from......I make my own frostings and smother them on top.....can't find anyone to beat the combo....
But damn, as soon as you walk into the Mohegan Sun, there is a smell....the very first store is one of those Krispy Kremes!
LaCosse beats out Tye for roster spot.
Adams beats out Tye for roster spot.
We may have a wish how this turns out, but Tye gets paid too, should start ahead of both on training camp roster, and is at an age where he is just as likely to improve as they are.
What is a fact is that for TEs, 6'4"+ gives us a warmer, fuzzier feeling than 6'1".
Better than Adams, Lac has done nothing but get hurt and Tye proved last year that he has the best hands on the team (yes even better than ODB ) when you see drops per attempt.
another team gets hit hard with injuries at TE and doesn't want to risk the open market. I was thinking at one point a multi-player trade but that isn't football.

The Giants must have underrated Tye, too, since their first priority in free agency was to sign a TE known for is blocking, and then they followed that up by drafting a TE known for his receiving in the 1st round. If only they'd recognized how awesome Tye really is...they could have saved themselves all that trouble.

Obviously that was not what I said and why you need to be careful when taking quotes and reports that aren't from the direct source. By the time they run through the hands of several others they can be distorted greatly.
More likely a Donnell move instead.
If JR can get a 7th for him, I'd be surprised.
You never know.
Can't see any team wanting him though.
Could be wrong, but we'll see.
LOL
now, if Lacosse gets hurt ... either way, would they get anything more than a 7th rounder for him?

He didn't use the word 'block' though. So basically GFY.
