Yoenis Cespedes tells The Chronicle he wants to finish career with A's; "I love Oakland all the time." http://www.sfchronicle.com/news/article/Yoenis-Cespedes-wants-to-finish-career-in-Oakland-11306433.php&cmpid=twitter-premium @sfchronicle

So, apparently Cespedes wants to finish his career in Oakland.
Apparently the offer for Headley and Ellsbury

The guy is OPSing over .800...

Anyone ever tried a penis pump before? Are second hand pumps worth trading for?

We had to have known how good his hit tool is. His defense has surprised and together it makes for a very solid LF on a team like the Mariners. I don't think he can compete with the talent we have fighting for a position in the outfield.

That's the first two, let's take the next two.
Yeah, let's get rolling now.

Perhaps we finally win a series.
RE: I think part of Betances' issue has been he hasn't pitched enough.

will not take the bait to talk about himself at all. Only wanted to talk about CC. Said he saw it live, will not watch the replay of the HR. She asked him what it feels like to hit it like that, and he said when you hit it like that you actually don't feel it at all.
Yanks now have 4 legit power relievers

with Kahnle and DRob back. This could be a huge advantage if they make it into the postseason

If it's one game, who is the killer? They don't have one.

5 if you count Green. 51k in 37 ip this year
But who is available tomorrow?
Phil in LA : 7/22/2017 1:24 am : link
Not Betances, cause we've seen him on third days, DRob had to warm up 3 times Thursday, so probably not DRob. Chapman, Kahnle, Green.
DRob can pitch tomorrow
Stu11 : 7/22/2017 1:25 am : link
I bet.
Chapman and Green didn't pitch tonight.
Del Shofner : 7/22/2017 1:27 am : link
So I think they'd be available tomorrow.
Jorge Mateo didn't play today (yesterday on the east coast)....
Milton : 7/22/2017 1:59 am : link
Just a normal day off or a pre-cursor to a soon-to-be-announced trade?
All I know is

That I love this 4 horsemen approach to the bullpen. Forget the starters just getting to the 6th. If we're in the 8th and Betances lets 2 guys get on we dont have to worry about bringing in Chapman early or leaving him in there. We can go Kahnle or Rob-dawg. Plus it opens up possibilities for extra innings match ups.

I really think we can make some noise THIS year if we get to the postseason. Of course, if Tanaka starts giving up 3 homers in the first again, it kinda dont matter. Next, lets see the bats come alive.
Need Montgomery back in synch

His two post-break starts have been awful. He looked uncomfortable out there.
Joe Girardi
jacob12 : 7/22/2017 8:14 pm : link
Joe Girardi is an engineer. He has far more intelligence than most of the people on the board.

Joe has done an extraordinary job with the Yankees. He is the only manager in history, whose team has scored fewer runs than his opponent over a season, with a winning record.Girardi has done this twice in his career.

Managers have far less impact on their team than most fans believe.I read more than a dozen baseball message boards, and most fans vilify their manager.

Scouts and general managers think Joe Girardi is one of the best managers in baseball.
