I think he wants them to come in during a lower pressure scenario. Get comfortable, build confidence with the squad. Ease in.

Let the closers do their thing. Measure them as well. No need to unseat anyone just yet.

This is Joe's weakness. He thinks pitchers get right by pitching more, despite the effect on wins and loses.

That I love this 4 horsemen approach to the bullpen. Forget the starters just getting to the 6th. If we're in the 8th and Betances lets 2 guys get on we dont have to worry about bringing in Chapman early or leaving him in there. We can go Kahnle or Rob-dawg. Plus it opens up possibilities for extra innings match ups.

I really think we can make some noise THIS year if we get to the postseason. Of course, if Tanaka starts giving up 3 homers in the first again, it kinda dont matter. Next, lets see the bats come alive.
