Spieth drops to -8 and now tied with Kuchar. If they drop another stroke it will get extremely interesting with a few guys behind them having good rounds.
I realize he's an American and too young to be a sentimental favorite. But come on. He drops a 48 foot eagle putt and half the crowd doesn't even bother to clap.
really stayed calm after that debacle at 13, and still walked away with just a bogey. And then that final stretch of holes was unreal. He just buried the field at the end.
has a minor Giants connections. He was the first golfer Under Armor ever signed to an endorsement deal, brokered by their director of golf, former Giants' long snapper Ryan Kuehl.

Spieth wasn't the first golfer signed by UA. Cool Giants connection though.
I feel bad for Kuchar, who's a great guy and a solid veteran.
But today kind of epitomizes why he's never won a major. He reminds me of Stricker. Fine player, but he was good, not great down the stretch. The special players make the special shots and putts down the stretch run.
Anyway, Spieth was very classy in victory and a great kid. He may win a bunch of more majors, now that he's proven he can overcome adversity in a big spot. Today erases some old (for a 23 year old) wounds.
...he really has a sense of the moment and keeps giving himself chances. With his talent he'll convert more times than not imo. Looking forward to watching him contend for many Majors in the years to come.

Overall agree, but he played well enough to win most times, but what Spieth did was Nicklaus/Tiger-like and would have beaten just about anybody, just bad timing for him, another year and he might have got his major.

He's definitely got the talent. And now maybe he has the confidence to shrug off bad shots or bad luck and win.
The big question is: does he have the drive/desire to make the life sacrifices you need to make to stay on top and win majors? He has enough talent that he could go on cruise control and earn a few million a year and win the occasional regular tour event. A lot of guys decide that's enough for them - they want a family life and/or other things out of life besides playing golf.
+1 for the putt
Tour Truck
Birdie
Eagle
2) A push slice under pressure: Work in progress.
When he fixes #2(and he will), Look out!
