He was speeding and showed signs of intoxication (and refused a breathalyzer) at 4:16 a.m. And actually, no, I don't think half of us have done that. Was it Herm Edwards who said nothing good happens after 1:00 a.m.?
He will be a target of the NFL's random drug testing. Beyond that the team will have to decide if they think he is better than the other WRs competing for the last spot. And is so, is he worth the risk; as I am sure they don't want a guy who they feel is always at risk of violating NFL substance abuse policies
I think Lewis is underrated to make the team still...
If the Giants were going to cut him over his legal problems they would have done it already. Year two knowing the playbook, ect. I think he is still the favorite for the last WR spot.
you're a moron. None of this was 'a good thing' and he dodged a two game suspension but he was still stupid and never should have put himself in this position to begin with. Which is the point.

This kid had some big drops last season but he was in position to make several big plays. I like his upside and I agree that he will earn the final WR spot assuming he stays clean off the field and puts in the work.

Exactly, you can forget the legal outcome as that is just one side of the equation. You have to look at the player and ask if you can count on him to be there every Sunday. I'm sure the team does not want to deal with another Will Hill situation. Guys that are routinely suspended hurt the team.

never said it was a "good thing"
23 year old kid made a mistake and will make his amends. If he doesn't he'll get cut and that will be that.
Personally I think unless you yourself have a squeaky clean past with no similar type of scenario growing up, you really cant pass judgement , aka shut the fuck up
Having a squeaky clean past means absolutely nothing as to
whether or not I can have an opinion on someone elses actions when they screw up.
Why do you care so much what other people think of Roger Lewis being stupid?
Very odd post.
its the principle , how can 1 criticize another for something they have/had done or something similar in the past. its hypocritical.
I dont condone any type of substance abuse while operating a motor vehicle but if your going to say someone should lose their job (be cut) and call a 23 year old kid a scumbag and other things like i read then you better have not done those things yourself.
yes that includes driving home after a couple drinks...

Or maybe you have done those things yourself and can call Lewis a scumbag while also admitting it was scumbaggy of you to do the same things.
Or maybe you can call Lewis a scumbag because you haven't actually made the same mistake.
Either way, how would Rory know which of those you fell under and why would Rory assume one or the other?
Because we have all been sitting on a winning lottery ticket (playing in the NFL) and decided to drive while impaired at 4:38 AM in possession of weed in the off season.
I am all for giving the kid another chance, but to compare his situation to any normal person is pretty pointless.
was a good preseason, followed by drops in the regular season and Tavaris King surpassing him and contributing later in the season. He's a camp body now. My money is on King as the #4/#5 wideout.
Now the charges are dismissed and you can go back to pretending that your opinion matters.
But he's right, unless you're home with your girl. :)

Um, random testing is random. Has no targets.

Get off your high horse, and apparently your opinion
matters more? Get a grip on reality.
