Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributed to the thread.
I only was in Maine for 3 days but we packed a lot into those 3.
I was able to eat at mash tun bar and street and co. In Portland. Awesome seafood dinner especially the creamy scallops. The sheer amount of flavor and shellfish in the lobster diavlo is worth the price of admission.
Drove up to Rockland Saturday morning for breakfast at home kitchen cafe (which was awesome ) but not before making a stop for a roadside lobster roll - not sure where it had an orange/red roof. I passed by Red's eats (It was closed, but all the locals said it was overrrated) and the place I went was up the road a few miles.
Of note in bar harbor was project social for the drinks and small plates. Lobster crepe was very good as was the crab cake.
Also had 2 cats cafe for sunday breakfast. Pretty good lobster eggs Benedict.
Went to a spot called Havana which was different from the non stop seafood I was eating. Pretty solid too.
Went on an Acadia park tour for a few hours Sunday. Maine is a truly beautiful and peaceful place.
Thanks again to everyone who made suggestions.
I would definitely eat there again on my next visit!
