Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead was arrested in Virginia in June for shoplifting -- and now a warrant has been issued for his arrest ... TMZ Sports has learned. The 25-year-old was busted in Prince William County, VA on June 22 for shoplifting/petit larceny under $200. We're told Whitehead allegedly took stuff from a convenience store. He was ordered to appear in court on July 6, but according to court records he didn't show up -- so a warrant was issued for his arrest. He's since been charged for failure to appear. |
Dope..

I care what the league/team does.
Garrett sounded pissed about just finding out about this today. Apparently from the tweets I've seen referencing Garrett this happened in June, not today.
He even hinted at release.
Now I don't think Lucky Whitehead is Devin Hester, but anything that screws up a rival teams depth chart a week less than a week from training camp opening is a good thing IMO.
except some injuries, I don't root for injuries, that's bad karma, but arrests or suspensions, I'm fine with (from a on-field standpoint).
Agree, though I don't think there could ever be enough or too much I'd feel bad for them. Just like I wouldn't expect any compassion from Cowboys or any Giants rival tea, fans if the situations were reversed
Dope..
You're talking about a player making ~$500k a year that shoplifted <$200 worth of stuff. Doesn't exactly scream mensa candidate...
Should I have not done that?
I tell you, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here with the Dallas Cowboys that that sort of thing was frowned upon, you know, ‘cause I've played a lot of football and I tell you it seems like Cowboy players seem to do this all the time."

It's completely out of hand. Garrett should be the coach of the year by a landslide if he can hold that locker room together and get into the playoffs with all this crap going on.
Re: Whitehead - They already drafted Switzer. Switzer was going to make the team if he was healthy. It's a lot easier to cut an UDFA like Whitehead then Zeke who is a cornerstone of the team.
I don't think the optics here help the cowboys or the Zeke situation.
Get your sh#t under control Jerrah. The inmates are running the asylum and everyone else is laughing and enjoying it.
B> He's trying to meet the qualifications of a starter like the rest of the misf.., uh, 'Boys.
With all the pressure on Dallas to at least pretend like they give a shit about following the rules and not flaunting suspensions by paying off everyone within shouting distance of Elliott, here comes Whitehead as an easy target for Dallas to get tough and send a message. A backup WR who's position as a return man is probably taken by the rookie Switzer anyway. But it's ok everyone, Jerruh has given everyone their pound of flesh. Dallas won't tolerate crap like this on their team!
Absolutely -- if you eliminate the first e and change the W to an S.
Supposedly Whitehead wasn't even in the state of VA at the time of the crime.
Very unlucky for Lucky.
I fucking love dem boys when they fuck up this bad.
Cowboys bit player -- we gonna have a zero tolerance policy
Pattern of what? Innocence?
I guess they want only real criminals - not posers.
