NFT: Ticketmaster settlement

A-Train : 7/24/2017 2:49 pm
Ticketmaster recently released a bunch of shows that are redeemable with settlement vouchers. Check your Ticketmaster account, if you haven't already.
Picked up Goo Goo Dolls and Willie Nelson at PNC.
On a side note, psyched to be seeing Blondie and Garbage this Friday in Red Bank.

and debating if I should buy the vip parking. How is it getting out? Coming from a couple hours away and its a weekday and can't get the following day off of the day of off, so may spring for the vip parking for 40 bucks if it makes it easier to get out after the show, or makes it significantly closer to park because we're likely going to be pushing it to get there by 7-730 the day of the show. If anyone has any parking experience from there i would appreciate it

Will you be arriving there via the Garden State Parkway South and departing via the Garden State Parkway North?
Well this sucks

yes
Bad news/good news:

Bad news: If you're arriving within, say, 45 minutes of the concert start time, you're probably going to sit in really bad traffic getting into the venue. (2 hours before the start time, you probably will coast in.) Then, the parking attendants guide you all over the complex (in traffic) until you finally get to the parking lot -- which is a long walk from the actual venue. 10-15 minutes of brisk walking, I'd say. Then you do the whole frisk/check bags thing at the gate. So if you can't get there with a lot of time to spare, you risk missing the start of the show, if that matters to you.

Obviously, you need to do this same walk back to your car after the show.

Good news: That parking lot is right by the entrance to the Garden State Parkway North. You pull out of your space, do a little bit of merging and waiting, then you get right on the highway, and off you go. That part seems too good to be true when it happens, since getting out of concerts at big venues is usually such a pain in the ass.
I'm talking about the free parking, by the way.

I've never done the VIP parking, so I can't say for sure how worth it VIP parking is.

But if your most important criterion is getting out of their easily, like I said, the free parking for late arrivers is actually the best way out.
Thanks for the heads up

Don't wait for a good or close event, if you don't like what you see then too bad, you're not getting more options. I just got 18 tickets and will sell every single one of them. I should be able to make a few hundred to pay for a concert or event that I want to see.

Almost certainly DMX won't be involved in this.

Totally forgot about this aspect of PNC. Though the last time I was there was for Phish and that line was a lot more fun if you went in with a group of cars. We would just get weird and walk with traffic on the way in.
