guys scoff but .338 is "only" tied for 8th in the PCL, 13 players are hitting .325+. Silly league. Only Mexico as a league is more ridiculous.
Who scoffs?, I've been railing against LV since they went there. I have been advocating to keep players in BING vs LV so they don't get inflated stats.
I hate the place (not LV itself, I like LV, but for the Mets AAA team I hate it), and I believe it contributed to things like Akeel Morris, not that he's irreplaceable or even good, who knows how he winds up, but maybe if he didn't get hammered in his lone callup from A+ ball and they had someone closer to use he might not have been called up at all and possibly not dealt for a sub-par old utility player.
and there are other factors too. I think having a local team like the Red Sox do (Pawtucket and Portland are both sub 2-hour drive from Boston), helps foster fandom at a younger level and more active level.
Vegas is a joke but he's hit .300 each of the past 3 years
with about 500 PA's each year. His K rate has also been a solid 15% over that time. Yes Vegas has inflated his BA and power, but his XBH have steadily increased every year so he's been trending in the right direction for some time.

PJ,
Just to be clear it wasn't a knock on Dom or anyone here more that the "jokes" about LV are mostly actually close to the truth. It's wild when you look up the leaders and see 13 players hitting .325+
I'd rather have Bruce on this team than Cespedes, personally. But I don't think that's an option at this point. Career wise -- fairly similar numbers, Bruce is a lot more durable, more polished media wise and seemingly more focused on his job, and one year younger.

Do it!!! Rivera won't be back next season either. Time for Plawecki to shine.. or stink it up
Pitching Change: Ben Griset takes over in the 7th, we're still scoreless.
Molina: 6.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 9 SO, 79 pitches - 52 strikes
COLA has 8 pitchers and 6 position players on the DL. Here are the pitchers per astromets twitter:

to save him.
As a met he's doomed to TJ in the next 6 months to a year, maybe by getting him off the cursed team they can salvage his career.
