Montero will be a better starter than Matz moving forward. Deal Matz now...something Alderson should consider

Why the hell would the Yanks trade the leader in K/9 for fucking Matz? To be our #5 starter?

But then again....Mets fans

with his injury history, it wouldn't be a shock. The Yankees have enough problems keeping their SP healthy

Can't wait for you to reverse course when you see that all the grown-ups weighed in with the real opinion of Yankees fans. That's the risk you take when you have a compulsive need to reply to every thread like a twitter-bot.

You wouldn't trade Betances for Matz?

Lmao. Okay that's your oppinion. Matz is a potential stud starter. Betances is on his way out of NY soon anyway
I love trade proposals
djm : 7/24/2017 8:06 pm : link
That both teams would flat out reject. Win win.
Oh btw GAtorade
DennyInDenville : 7/24/2017 8:06 pm : link
Yankees need a SP, have surplus in the pen.

But you probly don't even watch the games.

I'd rather good prospects for Betances.. but I like Matz a lot. He's got tons of talent just needs to toughen up.
Btw Betances won't be traded this year imo
DennyInDenville : 7/24/2017 8:08 pm : link
Will definitely be traded in the offseason though I firmly believe
Love Betances tho
DennyInDenville : 7/24/2017 8:09 pm : link
Maybe I'm overrating Matz

Yankees don't need a guy who needs to "toughen up."

I wouldn't trade Betances at this point - especially since he's become what he really is - a guy who can pitch any of the late innings and be your stopper. I think he thrives in that role.

That's a fair point, I suppose we can do better then Matz if we move Betances.

As predicted.

Weren't you and your breathalyzer supposed to go on vacation?
That's nuts
blueblood'11 : 7/25/2017 7:01 am : link
For one Betances isn't getting traded. He's durable and other then the hiccup he had this year which by the way the great Mariano Rivera was not immune to either he has proven he can pitch any inning any situation. I still believe he will ultimately be the the Yankees full time closer when it's all said and done. Not this year but down the road.

You want to trade him for a China doll. Matz can't stay healthy. He's even on the DL more then he's been on the field of play. Plus the Yankees and Mets never make trades so why even go there.
bahahahahahahaha Matz might bring back a few bats along with
Victor in CT : 7/25/2017 8:05 am : link
the bag of balls. The Mets would love that deal, Cashman would be run out of town. Matz is 26, always hurt. He's past the "potential star" phase and into the "disappointment, will he ever be anything" stage. Betances is reliably outstanding in his role, despite the hiccup last month.
