NFT: MLB.TV users some questions please

superspynyg : 7/25/2017 1:28 pm
I want to get the Yanks for the rest of the season. I have a Apple TV that had the mlb.tv app? If I order mlb.tv will I be able to watch the games live or will there be some kind of delay? Any issues with MLB.tv I should know about?

Also mlb.tv has a single team option. I want to order this. Is it worth it. It's 59.99 for the rest of the season. Will it go down in Aug?

I have really good internet in my house.

Thanks.
Where do you live?

Local blackout restrictions can be a big issue with mlb.tv.
Depend on location

I'm guessing you live outside of New York because you wouldn't need the mlbtv to watch them. I live in South Florida an do the same thing you won't have any issues with good internet I have 171 megabytes so there's no buffering
Love MLB.tv

I live in Maryland and watch every game live, except when they play the Orioles because it's blacked out. There is a about a 30-45 second delay behind live coverage.

I usually don't mind unless I'm texting with my brother and he gives something away.

Well worth it!

I agree

I've had it the last two years

It works great. And since you live in Atlanta and you're a Yankee fan, you will only have blackout issues on ESPN Sunday Night games (if you don't have access to ESPN otherwise) and on those rare Yanks vs. Braves games.

The best part is that if you can't watch the game live you can check back later that day (or even weeks later) and watch the full replay, a condensed version or just the highlights.

and don't get blacked out of any games. I preferred the service a few years ago before they started pumping commercials through during breaks in the game. I don't know what the experience is in the U.S. but we get between 2-3 different commercials that loop throughout the whole game. It's borderline intolerable.

If you love baseball, you need the service. They have recaps of each game near the end of the day so you can just whip through each of the games to catch up on highlights if you missed the games.
No commercials for me

Here in Columbia MD. I have fast internet, and the games are virtually always lag free, sometimes the definition is shaky but that's very rare. Overall it's a great service. I do the single team version. Don't need no stinking Mets.

All the other qualifiers given above apply; still, I'd do it if I were you.

and Chromecast. Works, but lagging/delays make it semi-un-enjoyable.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this I would appreciate it.

Someone said an Apple Lightning to HDMI Adapter plugged into your HDMI port would work. May just buy one of those.
