NFL.com relaunch

Personally, I'm not impressed. Home page looks mostly the same, but a little dumbed-down, with more clickbait.

Press release.

Welcome to the new and improved home of the National Football League.

As the 32 Clubs head off to training camp, the team here at NFL Digital Media has been hard at work this off-season creating the best football experience on earth.

Today NFL Digital Media unveiled the first step in a league-wide digital transformation: the relaunch of NFL.com. The new NFL.com features a sleek, intuitive design informed by extensive fan research and powered by a completely new back-end infrastructure. This technology overhaul improves speed and performance across all devices, as well as fans’ ability to discover the best of what NFL.com has to offer – all targeted to your favorite club, location and progress of the season.

Today’s relaunch is just the beginning, as we’re upgrading the entire suite of NFL Digital products for fans to engage with the games, teams and players you love through tailored experiences that will evolve with you. From an enhanced NFL.com fan profile page, optimized video across devices and easier access to live streaming video of NFL games, fans will notice a more robust experience whenever and wherever they interact with the League’s digital properties during the 2017-18 season and beyond.

Enjoy and have a great season!

switching to a new statistics software... a bold move considering that they have to track 90 men for each team for the entirety of the preseason this year. The new site looks like an inbred cousin of CBS Sports, imo the old format was better.

LOL, I got the CBS vibe, too!

And I agree, I also liked the old format better.

Not too impressed, don't hate it either. I wonder what it beat out in the concept stage.

I looked first on my work laptop and thought, wow, not so many ads. Then I looked on my phone, which doesn't run ad blocking software and thought, this sucks.
Oh boy.
