NFT: Yankee home game batting practice

Dang Man : 7/25/2017 5:19 pm
I'm heading to the game tomorrow afternoon (first time for the kids) and I'd like to be able to catch some of the Yanks batting practice. I've read that the gates open at 11 for a 1pm game but that the Yanks will have already started their BP. Is this accurate? Is it not possible to watch the entire BP session?

Any other tips for autographs etc? My kids adore the Yankees so I sprung for seats down low in section 13. Anyone familiar? Do players sign autographs before he game during warm ups?

Thanks guys.
you will not be able to see

some of Yankees BP. There's been some talk that they are going to switch this starting next year and have the home team do BP 2nd so home fans can see BP
You probably won't be able to see them at all.

The home team always goes first and by the time they open the gates and you get in(There will be a line so if you want to get in right away get there well before 11) Yanks BP is pretty much over.
How stupid is that?

BP used to be a priority for us when I was a kid. Watching The Mick, Ellie, Moose and Maris hit BP was almost as much fun as the games. Judge, of course, would be equally exciting.

I clearly have a biased opinion but I couldn't agree more. It's the best time for kids to see their idols crush balls at will and put on a show.
Just got back from the game

Appreciate the info on BP. Overall I was very surprised how the players simply don't sign autographs anymore. The only guy to take the time to sign autographs and chat with fans was everyone's favorite punching bag Chase Headley. his best days are behind him and he likely isn't in the team's long term plans, but he gets it. You can tell he enjoys playing the game and connecting with fans. He was one of the nicest athletes I've ever met. Very friendly and chatty with my sons who were thrilled he took the time to sign their balls and chat.

I know, cool story.
