Surprised it wasn't posted...if I just didnt see it, will delete.
Garofalo broke the story on NFL Network, said that the deal essentially pays him what he wouldve received ona rookie deal if he was drafted in round 1. Also leaves open his ability to test free agency in 2 years.
I know many here were high on him including myself. But didnt he project better as a G and underwhelmed at LG? He is slated as the starting RT on the Dallas depth chart.

No, I remember that. I actually really liked him. Though I liked Flowers size a little better. I just remember reading about him not performing that well at LG and now he is moving out to RT? I also remember the knock on us taking him was that he was better suited at G.
In any event, the 2 year extension makes him one of the highest paid RTs (by AAV) in the NFL and I don't believe he's even taken a regular season snap there.

Egg Zach Lee
I think the line is potentially even stronger this year.
I also am one who is convinced Prescott is going to be exponentially better too.
The offence is going to be a handful, but I can't see a defence that's lost some five to six starters holding down the fort against this much improved Giant offence. I see us improved in every category..TE, WR, RB, OL all significant upgrades.
I don't want Zeke suspended. I want to beat their best. Exciting and defining match-up I think we've all been savoring for months. And even so, they'll be fifteen games to go afterwards and so much can happen it's probably wrong to call it defining - though it will feel like it.
Collins hasn't taken a single NFL rep at tackle, and was just average at guard, surrounded by the same Tyron Smith and Travis Frederick that are supposed to help Cooper suddenly blossom.
Also, Collins did not beat out Leary his rookie year, he got onto the field due to injury to Leary, the reverse happened last year the Cowboys line was better for it as Collins play regressed his sophomore year.
Save your money La'el ...
Hats off to Dallas. That's where he wanted to be. All anyone had to do to prevent it was give the League Office the finger and draft him. No way the Giants would do that, but I figured somebody would. Didn't the Rams draft about seven offensive linemen that year?

gets Collins in his first start at RT?

He's gonna need a lot more than that ready...
As for Collins at RT, I thought it was a mistake for the Cowboys to move him inside. I always thought RT would be his best position. I'm hardly an expert on O-Line play, so we'll see what happens with him this year.
oh well - I don't care about their OL as long as the Giants have this DL
Collins may be better at RT, but it is odd that with Free operating as the weak link of the unit and Leary playing so well that it took Dallas this long to even give Collins any tackle reps going into his third season with the organization.

You can add Byron Bell and Joe Looney to the mix also.
There are 4 players for the one starter spot, the three players that don't win the spot will be the backups on the line.
Joe Looney is the backup center and plays both guard positions.
Cooper has been taking reps at center during the OTAs, we'll see if that continues in training camp.
Chaz Green was the supposed starter at RT when Free retired, but Collins was named the starter during OTAs. Green was the swing tackle last year and started two games when Tyron Smith was injured. Now he has to play inside to if he wants to start.
Byron Bell was sign in free agency from Tennessee and is primarily a tackle. Last year he played guard when Tennessee had injury problems. He can play everything, but center.
No matter who wins the RG spot, Dallas will have good depth on the OL.
