Adrien Robinson - the gift who keeps on giving...

The former Giants tight end was arrested Monday in White Deer Township, Pa., and charged with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after troopers found over 20 pounds of marijuana in his truck, according to Penn Live. The Sunbury (Pa.) Daily Item says Robinson had about 25 pounds of pot.

The point is that it's only a "big deal" because it's illegal.

I suspect I don't actually have to explain this to you and that you get the relevant, underlying point but let me know if you need further clarification.
In what state is it legal to have 20lbs of pot in your possession?
bigblue1124 : 8/4/2017 9:51 am : link

Now granted I do not partake and don’t understand why adults do other than for medical reasons but that’s me, and completely understand how some may disagree. With that said even in states that have legalized this do you really think he would not be locked up and still not be able to post bond because he spent that money to traffic drugs lol give me a break.

The nonchalant attitude is more the question here not my statement. The guy is trafficking drugs illegal drugs in the state he was arrested. He obviously spent all his money on those drugs to make more money. When does it end does he continue to move weed or when the money starts flowing does he move on to more profitable avenues?

How anyone can justify this by it’s just weed is smoking to much weed.

Smoking some pot isn't a big deal, growing some pot isn't a big deal, selling some pot isn't a big deal... 25 pounds isn't just 'Some pot'... The fact that people serve time for simple possession is a joke... this amount is just legit drug trafficking, I don't think he deserves the needle but he needs to sit his ass down for some time for sure. 25 pounds bro, sheesh is all...

In my eyes, it's because at this point it's accepted that the reasons it is illegal are total bullshit.

If you're carrying around 20 lbs, you're likely giving that to maybe 4 people in 5 lb bags. Yeah, I get he's far up the chain, but if the end result is weed in areas where it isn't legal yet (particularly when I don't think it should be illegal in the first place), I can't get worked up on it.

Despite that, obviously he should be punished. That comes with the territory. He knew the rules of the game, and he got caught. This isn't a stance I take on every crime, but on a victimless crime like this for a substance that shouldn't be illegal in the first place, I think it's applicable.

I appreciate that you've recognized that I wasn't "ranting" against "people", but instead responding to a singular post by a singular poster (who was IMV overstating the severity of Robinson's transgression).

Oh wait, that would require you admitting you were wrong and that your predictable cantankerous hysterics caused you to misread the back & forth.

You have GOT to be kidding. "His pain"? Haha, classic. The poor guy was just trying to put food on the table, man!

Robinson has no one to blame but himself. Can we stop feeling sorry for him? You think he didn't know that what he was doing is STILL illegal? He knew, and he didn't give a shit. No matter what any of us think about weed, the fact is he still did something illegal. Voluntarily. I'm not saying he should go to prison, I just find it comical that people are complaining about "kicking a man when he's down" and running to defend the pain and anguish he's going through, like he lost a loved one or something.

Oh without a doubt.

My point (and view) is that his actions are in no way immoral or worthy of opprobrium. Ridicule, yes, cause it's unwise to commit any felony because the potential for harsh punishment is apparent.

But not immoral or wrong. (Remember that all those entrepreneurs in Colorado and Oregon and soon to be Mass are all committing a federal crime).

Unless one argues that he's helping to enrich cartels (which he very well may be). But there's nothing that enriches cartels more than the ignominious and failed war on drugs.

Obviously a poor decision

I have no problem with it it has tons of uses it's a very
good medicinal plant that was demonized way back when .
Anyone who thinks differently is misinformed .
When you try to deal quantities for profit it's a huge risk
because of it's classification and it being illegal .
After my brother came home from Nam he was quite the mess
took an AK47 to the bicep when they were ambushed also grenade shrapnel in his right thigh he still carries today
He got 30% disability which was utter BS later developing cysts from Agent Orange Jungle rot being a Medic at 18 years old nothing could prepare you for this BS conflict
spat at when he came home . Worked in St. Albans hospital in NYC eventually got into the Heroin which was quite prevalent . So he would come home on weekends and I would take a couple of Joints from him and sell them at school for beer money .
I didn't get high until I was 17 and I smoked most of my adult life but in the past five years or so have pretty much quit on occasion when the aches and pains get to be
too much I might take a couple of hits but even that is rare . I wish they would just make it legal and get it over with . The medicinal purposes far out way the any kind of harm it may do to anyone .
Sessions and his asset forfeitures for small amounts of weed is BS It's a different story when dealing huge amounts .

Even the most hostile assessment of taxation would concede that it’s to a certain degree - which can be fairly debated – a necessary evil (although perhaps the momentous establishment of thriving Anarcho-capitalist economies is just around the corner…)

Marijuana prohibition for adults is not logically defensible from any vantage point.

Before you respond, don’t forget to login to a system whose genesis in part dates back to a program funded by the Department of Defense.

Taxation without representation is like, bogus, dude.
