The former Giants tight end was arrested Monday in White Deer Township, Pa., and charged with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after troopers found over 20 pounds of marijuana in his truck, according to Penn Live. The Sunbury (Pa.) Daily Item says Robinson had about 25 pounds of pot.

Eric, Why Would Consider Someone Getting Arrested...

as a "gift who keeps on giving"?

Robinson sucked at football, so you consider the fact that he got arrested as a "gift"?

His pain gives you pleasure?

I have no issue with you posting the article, but your thread title is an odd take.

Most people were laughing at his lack of football skill and for being a dumbass. For some reason you chose to act as if people want him in the electric chair. I'm supposed to parse out your sarcasm or belief that he's just a goofy pothead?

I appreciate that you've recognized that I wasn't "ranting" against "people", but instead responding to a singular post by a singular poster (who was IMV overstating the severity of Robinson's transgression).

Oh wait, that would require you admitting you were wrong and that your predictable cantankerous hysterics caused you to misread the back & forth.

Carry on.

I feel for the guy.. was just pot. Almost legal anyway.

Whys it bad? Because it wasn't taxed pot??

Okay..

Get a good attorney Adrien! Hope you do well in this case and get on the right track again young man! I commend you for trying to traffic pot but it's time to do something else

Perhaps become involved in the cfl for a while
Oh my!

Robinson reportedly told officers he was trying to make a roster for the upcoming season. He currently is not on a team as preseason looms and, after being arrested, his prospects don’t look strong....

I guess he was bringing his possible new mates some 'help'
with 25 lbs. in his trunk.
Have fun in prison, dumbass.

You have GOT to be kidding. "His pain"? Haha, classic. The poor guy was just trying to put food on the table, man!

Robinson has no one to blame but himself. Can we stop feeling sorry for him? You think he didn't know that what he was doing is STILL illegal? He knew, and he didn't give a shit. No matter what any of us think about weed, the fact is he still did something illegal. Voluntarily. I'm not saying he should go to prison, I just find it comical that people are complaining about "kicking a man when he's down" and running to defend the pain and anguish he's going through, like he lost a loved one or something.

People acting like he's a heinous, nefarious drug dealer when he's driving around with pot.

Fucking joke.

Well, that one poster was and another seemed to be along those lines. So really, you took issue with the word "people"

Who cares? Also history has shown that there are other posters that likely believe that. Should I venture over to another comment section to prove my point?

All in all, this is a laughably stupid back and forth. You seem to be looking for arguments

Oh without a doubt.

My point (and view) is that his actions are in no way immoral or worthy of opprobrium. Ridicule, yes, cause it's unwise to commit any felony because the potential for harsh punishment is apparent.

But not immoral or wrong. (Remember that all those entrepreneurs in Colorado and Oregon and soon to be Mass are all committing a federal crime).

Unless one argues that he's helping to enrich cartels (which he very well may be). But there's nothing that enriches cartels more than the ignominious and failed war on drugs.

Obviously a poor decision

I have no problem with it it has tons of uses it's a very
good medicinal plant that was demonized way back when .
Anyone who thinks differently is misinformed .
When you try to deal quantities for profit it's a huge risk
because of it's classification and it being illegal .
After my brother came home from Nam he was quite the mess
took an AK47 to the bicep when they were ambushed also grenade shrapnel in his right thigh he still carries today
He got 30% disability which was utter BS later developing cysts from Agent Orange Jungle rot being a Medic at 18 years old nothing could prepare you for this BS conflict
spat at when he came home . Worked in St. Albans hospital in NYC eventually got into the Heroin which was quite prevalent . So he would come home on weekends and I would take a couple of Joints from him and sell them at school for beer money .
I didn't get high until I was 17 and I smoked most of my adult life but in the past five years or so have pretty much quit on occasion when the aches and pains get to be
too much I might take a couple of hits but even that is rare . I wish they would just make it legal and get it over with . The medicinal purposes far out way the any kind of harm it may do to anyone .
Sessions and his asset forfeitures for small amounts of weed is BS It's a different story when dealing huge amounts .

I saw a story about about a restuarant owner in our town who was busted for not paying his own taxes and not remitting the sales taxes collected. Used them to keep his business afloat. People went crazy about him being a criminal and the worst person ever. Me, I feel about taxes how some here feel about pot. And to me, it's a meaningless thing and wonder more about the people in a twist.

But at the end of the day, it's all illlegal and committing an illegal act makes them criminals.
What does this even mean...

Even the most hostile assessment of taxation would concede that it’s to a certain degree - which can be fairly debated – a necessary evil (although perhaps the momentous establishment of thriving Anarcho-capitalist economies is just around the corner…)

Marijuana prohibition for adults is not logically defensible from any vantage point.

Before you respond, don’t forget to login to a system whose genesis in part dates back to a program funded by the Department of Defense.

Taxation without representation is like, bogus, dude.
Klaatu : 8/5/2017 6:31 pm : link
Anyway, I'm in favor of the legalization of marijuana, but I just can't muster too much sympathy for a guy who's driving around with 20 pounds of the stuff (while it's still illegal) and is stupid enough to get pulled over.
